Love You!!

Working on my weekly challenges that a love, whilst on a break from wedding and renos!! This card is for Verve's week 3 sketch on SCS. Bought some MME papers a while back and they have been sitting and patiently waiting for me, LOL!!

My card...

Stamped verse from Verve's Text Objects on the circle nestie and mounted on a scallop circle nestie. Layered MME's Lost 7 Found Market Street papers, distressed and inked the edges with vintage linen, and stitched a little. Added crinkly ribbon, Websters Pages sprinkler, and a Tiny Sweet Scallop die from Verve's A Cut Above Dies {seriously this is a sah...weeet little die!!} Stamped the "Love You" from Verve's Tag Time. The outline on the smallest Tiny Sweet Scallop die is from Tag Time also. The scallop border was made with SU's scallop die and "pulled" up with my fingers to add some dimension.

Tosha's sketch...

TFL!! Hope you're having a great Saturday!! We've had rain off and on for several days now and we certainly needed it!! Perfect cleaning and stamping time!!

Appreciate when you stop by and love to read all your sweet comments!!

Halloween Greetings!!

Yep... we're getting close to the time of goblins and witches!! I have always been a little partial to the Halloween holiday... always fun to dress up and "act out"!! Is the prelude to fall IMHO, not sure why but, it's the way it is at my house!! So, for this months' Waltzingmouse sketch challenge... had to use some Hallows' Eve stamps!! Ended up just using sentiments from Cicely At Halloween but, the images are "begging" to be inked up too!! And.... Clare has a few other fabulous Hallows Eve stamps {along with many others, I might add}, one just released, Hocus Pocus which is on its' way to my house!!
My card....

Let the paper do the talking here. Used MME Mischievous dp {that owl is adorable} and added black pearls for his eyes and some twinkles in the corner {a little night sky}. Sentiment was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with white to make it "pop" on the black labels 18 nestie. The other sentiment was added to the inside.... it's a good one!!

Is that paper not fabulous!!!! Today is Friday eve {as Amy Wanford, aka Aimes would say....I'm so looking forward to Friday so, that this is what popped in my mind!!}

Anya's sketch...

TFL!! Love when you stop by and appreciate all the kind words!!

The 'boy" or "Bubba".... TMI, right!! Well, anywho, he took over going to the granite place and picking out the granite that will be used for our counter tops in the kitchen. I believe, it was a little bit of a project as  slabs are layered and they have to use some type of "mover" {the boy/manly man, hehehe, said forklift} with a claw at the top, beeps when you back up {okay don't know the name of the machine!!} to pick them up and move them so you can see each slab and he had to look at a couple groups but, found two slabs that were cut in sequence {seam thoughts} with no flaws!! ) Phew... counter template next Tuesday... cut granite and install!! Still need an upholsterer for some furniture and dining room chairs. Last night was all about the center pieces for the wedding tables and reviewing the list of wedding things to do... "have boys, I say, have boys!!!" Honestly, I talk too much... sorry!!

Best Wishes!!

WMS sketch challenge and CR84FN color challenge combined. Have been piddlin' a little with this over time and finally finished!! Yeah, yeah, that's in between running to granite showrooms and granite warehouses.... what a dang project!! Still have some upholstery work and laundry/BR floors and painting to do. Honestly, we want it done by the wedding and even with contracting most of it.... it's a project!!

Colors are pink, black, and gray.... fabulous colors!! The sketch... honestly... intimidated me a little {okay, a lot!!} WMS leaves the sketch basic so it can be interpreted lots of ways. I'm just so literal... I know-"get over it".

My card...

Stamped those gorgeous large WMS doilies in melon mambo on white, die cut circle nesties in gray and stamped the reverse dots from WMS in Versamark, adhered, and cut to fit. Added some black stitching, a crinoline flower {from Linda the funkiejunkie on etsy} and black rhinestone in the center. Sentiment is from WMS Fancy Phrases stamped on a WMS Bitty Banner, cut out and popped up.

Here's the colors and sketch....

TGIF!! I know, this is my same old "mantra" but, busy goings on here and I look forward to a "later" morning on the weekend!! Thought I was stampin' tomorrow nite but, Ms. Maddie is performing at half-time and we will be there!! Now, DD said "Outback" is providing food as the highschool doesn't do a concession stand... really??? This could be interesting.... definitely not what I grew up with!!

My card....

Went with the general layout.... changed colors and stitching along with sentiment/main panel. Used the lace/ribbon/flower combo but, used lace with crinkled ribbon. Have had these PTI stamps and die for a bit and no time.

Julie's fabulous card...

Just Be

In between painting and looking at granite... I managed to get one card done this weekend {used to doing several over the weekend when I am off... soon the renovations will be done, YEAH!!} This card is for the Verve weekly sketch on SCS... this week it's Amber's -- long and slender. Colors are from the Play Date Cafe challenge... teal, brown, and mustard-- PDCC98.

Used MME Hattie papers {perfect for the colors} and added some sprigs from Verve's Sunny Days set which were cut out with Verve's A Cut Above Leafy Sprigs die. Flowers used a Verve image from Sunny Days stamped in early espresso on early espresso cs and taken with teal on taken with teal cs and then clear embossed and layered after scrunching a little. For the middle tag, I used the grid image from Verve's Tag Time and cut out with Verve's Tagged Rectangle die, added a grommet and some early espresson ribbon. Sentiment from Verve's Words of Wisdom was stamped in early espresso. Phew.... lot's of new Verve going on here!!

The colors and sketch....

Playing with a new camera... hoping it will help with evening pics. It's "dang" hard to take a pic of a long card or is it just me!!

Happy Monday!! Love when you stop by and appreciate all the kind words!! Hoping to get caught up blogging this week.... that DH of mine is a "slave driver" when it comes to renovations and getting it done, hehehe!!

Vroom... Vroom...

This week's Waltzingmouse sketch challenge is a wonderful sketch by Anya Schrier. Happy mail came the other day in the form of some new WMS stamps. So I veered a little from my norm and did a "neuter" card. Could be used male or female and on the CAS side for me. Used an image from WMS Half Pint Heroes and colored with copics.

I could pretend that is me.... have a black mustang convertible {my 50 year itch} although, this image looks more like a "beetle" and I have short hair but, definitely not curly, LOL!! Drove minivans for years {carting kids and friends to dance competitions and the like} so, when I hit the big 5-0, it was all about me {for a moment anyway, LOL!!}. First time coloring with all grays and need a little experience but, not too bad for a first try. Added crystal effects to the headlight/taillight and windshield, stitching, and brads. Fussy cut the image and popped on top.

Here's Anyas' sketch.... {very versatile and one to keep for future reference!!}

TFL!! Tomorrow is friday. Painters coming this weekend and we have plans to be out of the house {going to the granite store, maybe lunch, delivering some wedding invitations personally, and....??? Definitely will have to think of something!!}

Thanks for stopping by, hope you are having a wonderful week with lots of love and laughter!!

Never too Old to Dream....

Hah... Mark Twain is a man after my own heart, LOL!! Sentiment is from Verve's Words of Wisdom {lovin' this set} and was stamped in crumbcake on white cs and heat embossed with clear. Colors are for the CR84FN challenge 37 and used last weeks sketch on SCS. CR84FN colors are light blue, turqoise, neutral. Lilly Bee Picket fence papers were distressed and sewn and layered. Added a prima net flower, lace border, and some crumbcake seam binding.

The colors....

Ya' know... it never fails. When you have a lot going on... there's always one more thing. Dishwasher wouldn't work this past weekend and my "handy" DH tried to get it going himself. Had to come home today to meet the GE man and it was a quick fix {he talked about taking apart the front and replacing the computer board... thank goodness it was lots easier than that!!}. The thing was full, really really full, of dishes and I was so thankful I didn't have to unload it!!

Hope you're having a great week and thanks for stopping by. Love when you do and appreciate all the kind words!!
