PDCC and CASE Study Birthday Wishes

Managed another card... whoo hoo.... maybe things are slowing down "just a titch" for me!! Created a card for the PDCC color challenge of Rust, Dark Storm, and Deep Sea and used the CASE study Muse... Niki Estes!! {fabulous cards, I tell ya'} You'll see in a sec that I totally CASEd the layout and focal flower in the lower right but, changed up to the PDCC colors and used Verve stamps. Added the "material" as part of the challenge on CASE study- literally as Niki did. It's actually dark gray with a light gray weave but, pic doesn't show as well. Flower is from Verve's Great Friends {one of my favs} and colored with copics and added a glitter center using crystal effects and dazzling diamonds from SU. Stitched and frayed a little on the burlap. Leaves are from Verve's Bloom and Grow set stamped in SU really rust and cut out with Verve's A Cut Above Die. Sentiment was stamped in SU basic gray from Verve's Making A Statement and stitched to the bg panel.

Niki's gorgeous card....

Yikes, two cards in a row...definitely slowing down at my house!! Happy Tuesday... tomorrow nite is the last meeting with wedding venue....details, details, details!! DH and my other DD and I are thinking a Caribbean cruise in February is in order.... only just figured out I don't have a birth certificate to get a passport. Yeah, born on an Airforce Base and looking at online options to obtain.... I know, if it isn't one thing, it's another, right??

Thanks for stopping by and love/appreciate when you leave a comment!!

Hello Friend!!

Snuck a little stamping in and made a card using last week's sketch by Diva Moe on SCS. You can find the challenge here. Participate in each of the monthly/weekly sketches to win some Verve!! Can't get any better than that. Used the colors from the CR84FN40, brown, kraft and red, gorgeous!!

My card...

Used some MME Lost & Found dp {have bunches from this line and have been limited on stamping time so, starting to enjoy it!!} Cut our several floral circles from Verve's Floral Circles, A Cut Above Dies, and layered on a corrugate Jillibean flower. Added crinkled ribbon and twine. Sentiment, from Verve's Hope Blooms, is stamped in early espresso onto a circle nestie and layered on another circle nestie. Border was made with MFT's doily border die.

Happy Haunting!!

Managed to squeak in another card between the painting, renovations, and wedding, YEAH ME!! This one is for the CASE study challenge and Play Date Cafe Color challenge this week. Niki Estes is the MUSE at CASE study and the card Chupa chose is fabulous. PDCC is using Halloween colors; slime green, frightful fuschia, putrid purple, and black as night!! Had to whip up another Halloween card, seeing as I enjoy this holiday and I just received some Halloween Waltzingmouse stamps that were calling for ink, LOL!!

My card-

Not quite the elegant card Nikki made but, my little version with the PDCC colors. I Case'd the bg panel stamping, focal circle in the lower right, and the crochet trim/ribbon combo. The image and sentiment are from Waltzingmouse stamps latest release and its' called Hocus Pocus. The bg is an old SU image, flannel plaid (which I love for fall BTW!), added some buttons with twine from The Cats Pajamas (fav twine in white and linen).

Nikki's card-

The colors-

Renovations are coming along with not too many mishaps, LOL!! Painted and laid new floor in my DD's BR this weekend and when my dear DH went to re-install the commode, seal broke and we had to call the plumber-- Oh well!! Good thing is they came yesterday afternoon at the same time we were home for the granite kitchen countertop installation (which took a couple hours longer than planned). Granite countertops are gorgeous and only one seam!! The slowdown was the backsplash above the stove top/jennair which was cut a little tight and had to be eased in slowly. Now, the poor Jennair stovetop looks really old-- project for after the holidays or at least the wedding!!! Today, DH took off seat for dining room chairs, victorian chair, and rocker-- to the reupholsterer for freshening up.

Anywho... all's well and it worked out okay. Hope you're having a wonderful week.  Thanks for stopping by and appreciate all the sweet comments!!

Scary Sweets

This week the Waltzingmouse sketch challenge is a tag. Some new goodies came in the mail the other day and in celebration of Halloween.... I made a little treat bag and tag.

Close-up of the tag....

Cut a large circle nestie out of chipboard and layered in black cardstock and Mischievous dp by MME. Added some zigzag stitching. Stamped the witch from WMS Halloween Party in black and heat embossed with clear. Layers of pleated ribbon, black lace gathered, and crochet trim to the bottom. Sentiment on the tag is from Halloween Party, too. Added a button/twine combo. Attached to the bag with a clothespin with a glittered black star.

Pics done in the dark this early Friday am so not the greatest, sorry!!

Have a wonderful Friday and weekend, too!! I'll be painting {hopefully a little stampin too!!}

TFL!! Appreciate all the kind words!!

PDCC and CASE study

Squeeked in another card this week for the Play Date Cafe challenge and CASE study challenge. This is the last week with Julie Lacey as the Muse on CASE study and PDCC colors are wine... smudge {did a little literally}.... leather... and parchment.

Stamped the leaves from Verve's New Mercies onto confetti paper from SU. Sentiment from Verve's Words of Wisdom is stamped in early espresso onto confetti and outlined with Verve's scallop frame from Making A Statement and cut with Verve's Rounded Scallop Frame die. "Smudged" the leaves and sentiment.  Added a bow with Webster's Pages stickpin and some gold pearl around the frame.

I CASE'd the layout, bow, and sentiment panel as the focal point and added a little bling.

TFL!! Tomorrow is "hump day" and a busy one for me!!

Thanks for stopping by and appreciate all the kind words!!

With Gratitude...

Had a moment to make a card and I've been missing my MFT sketch challenges ( one of my fav weekly's) and I had this little girl inked, colored, and pieced so I flipped the sketch and finished!!

Used some Authentique Glowing (love this stuff) for the patterned papers. PI is from MFT Lil' Pumpkin and she is colored with copics and paper pieced and layered on a MFT die-namic. Pumpkin and shoes are shiny with crystal effects. Added some rhinestones to her Mary Janes while the CE was wet. A big ole' twill bow finishes it off!!

Yes, I even flipped the sketch for you, LOL!!

Hope you had a great weekend... I'm still in the "throes" of wedding and renovations!! Found fabric and an upholstery shop for dining room chairs and a couple victorian chairs that need a little love!! Painting...painting...painting!! Honestly, nothing like a wedding to motivate!!

I'm looking forward to everything being done so, I can squirrel myself in my "room"!!

TFL!! Appreciate all the kind words!!
