Merry Christmas!!

Happy Holidays to you and yours!! The countdown is on....just a few more days, are you ready?? I still have a couple errands, I'm usually done by now and we celebrate Xmas at my older DD's so she even wraps the presents for me, lucky girl I am!! Well, this year I'm moving a little slow but, she's still wrapping--just wants everything by Thursday, WUWT??!! I did have an opportunity to make a card for the CASE study challenge-70 and Play Date Cafe challenge-111. This month at CASE study the Muse is the amazing Amy Sheffer and the PDCC colors are black and white with a splash of teal/blue. These challenges worked perfectly together!!

Here's my card....

Stamped the small sprig from Verve's New Mercies onto white and die cut 2 adorable trees {well, I think they're adorable, LOL!!}, third tree die cut with SU's Baja Breeze and crimped. Die is Verve's Winter Fun Die set. Embossing folder is Sizzix Swirling Stars, layered some torn black paper that was stamped with SU's Itty Bitty bg's {remember those?} in versamark and heat embossed with white for a little snow effect. Sentiment is from Verve's Bright Spirits stamped in versamark and heat embossed with white. Added some SU Baja Breeze seam binding, silver bells, and divine twine bow from The Cats Pajamas {I know it's called Divine Twine but, it really is... so easy to work with!!}

Amy's Gorgeous card...

The PDCC colors... {isn't that Santa image fabulous!!}

TFL!! Love when you stop by and appreciate all the kind words!! Most of all... Bless You and May the Lord Keep You Safe!!

For You!!!

Things are getting a little busy at my house.... my youngest turns 19 tomorrow and is she "being special"... absolutely!! At my house... anyone's B-Day is special.... KWIM... it's the day you were born and brought JOY into the rest of the family. OKAY.... 19.... there have been moments of non-Joy, but, only fleeting!!! On top of that, just spoke with my little brother {that is the youngest of five, the other four older siblings are girls... can you imagine!!} and he is out Celebrating with my sister and his wife... Joanna!!

Enough of the gab {little sentimental here, hard to believe my littlest- is that a word?? has hit the big 1-9}. I did make a card for this weeks Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge...

My sis sent me a XMAS card yesterday (SU demonstrator) that was fabulous!! Had every intention of posting it here as it was the inspiration for this card and life got in the way. She used the same colors and SU Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.  I'm still playing with Nutcracker Sweet from Waltzingmouse Stamps... image stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on vanilla and heat embossed with a mixture of clear and glitter {pic doesn't show the glitter} and layered on a Waltzingmouse Stamps Vintage Labels No. 10 added some crochet lace and the big ole' bodacious bow!!

Here's the sketch...

TFL!! Enjoy when you stop by and appreciate all the kind words!! Busy time of  year but, also full of love/family/friends!!

PS....Dang, the embossing in black doesn't show up, sorry 'cause it is a gorgeous EF from SU!!

Joy!!

I am in the "throes" of the Christmas Spirit!! Tree's up, lights on, Xmas presents here or "in the works"--finally!! This card is for the CASE study challenge this week {A White on White Creation- Amy Sheffer} and the Play Date Cafe Challenge {light blue, royal blue, lime green, red}.

Thinking to myself....I have been totally intimidated by the "white on white" AND the Play Date Cafe Colors. This was definitely a challenge for me. Ornaments are from Verve's Bright Spirits stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on a Spellbinders Labels 17 and color with copics. Added some "gems" for a little bling and popped on top of the larger labels 17. Background is a Quikutz folder... I believe "Diamonds and Dots". Added some red SU grograin ribbon.

Hope you are enjoying the Holidays... if you are like me--you're still running around and thinking {wedding slowed me down a little} and if you are "on the ball"- you're relaxing, stampin', and enjoying!!

TFL!! Thanks for stopping by, leave a comment if you do, love to hear from you!!

I didn't have any WMS Xmas stamps- until this week of course- and one of my favs included a silhouette Santa complete with a pipe!! Here's my "diddy"

No Peeking!!

Wanted to play in the The Cats Pajamas challenge this week.... it's been a looong time!! Although I have made cards for a couple challenges from last month {I think it was November, could've been October??} AND, I totally "messed up"!! I thought the challenge was to add "shine" to your card and it was actually to add "shiny embellishments"..... well, I hope the CAT police aren't out there, LOL!!

Colors are from the Color Throwdown 170 and sketch is from SCS 361. Started out with the colors and wanted to use this paper from Crate Paper so things got a little bit busy. Thought I was going to use a bunny from TCP's latest release and glittery snowflakes but, tonight when I got home--- ended up with the darling Bear from TCP's Peeking set and just LOVE it!! My glitter embellishment {bows are embellishments on presents, right!!} is the bow.

TFL!! I really should be working on Xmas right now but, with the wedding.... I've been deprived and I'm trying to feed my addiction a little!! Appreciate when you stop by and love reading all the comments!!

Butterflies

Made another week of the MFT sketch challenges.... even a day early.... whoohoo for me!! Used MFT's Inspired by Butterflies. The image was stamped in early espresso onto watercolor cardstock and heat embossed with clear. Watercolored with dusty durango, tangerine tango, and daffodil delight, cut out and popped on top of some pretty crinkled ribbon. Papers are from Authentique's Blissful collection. Sentiment was masked a couple of times to fit into the layered MFT dies.

Hope you've been having a wonderful weekend!! Last night we celebrated one of those milestones with a good friend...50!! Had a lot of fun and spent some time with friends from the "old" neighborhood!! Now, I just need to get the tree up, do some Xmas shopping... you know, all those things I should've had done by now!!

TFL!! Love when you stop by and appreciate all the kind words!!

Happy Holidays!!

Ya'll have been spending time making Xmas cards but, I'm just trying to "Catch Up"!! This card is for the CASE study challenge this week {Amy Sheffer....need I say more??}... one of the first blogs I have "drooled" over or... my jaw "hit the keyboard"... !!! Used the colors from C484FN43 {brown, tan, green..perfect for a homespun Xmas card}... found this challenge in the last few months and Lovin it... gets the old brain cells movin'.

Here's my card

Those 3D Verve Xmas trees {Winter Fun A Cut Above Dies} have been calling my name.... I've seen several cards made with this technique and just HAD to throw in my own... die cut four chocolate felt trees and a couple with the patterned paper and stitched down the middle. Trees are popped on top of a nestabilitie blossom die in crumbcake and circle nestabilite embossed with the SU textile folder for a little "homespun" feel. Sentiment is from Verve's Santa's Helper stamped on a Verve embossed oval die and layered on top of some crinkled ribbon, added a couple rustic jingle bells from frostitpink. DP is Authentique Wonder and MME Lost & Found Breeze.

The colors....

Amy's fabulous card... I went with the layout, two butterflies {substituted two trees} and changed colors.

TFL!! Now it's time to go "kick my DH's butt bowling".... our Winter pasttime is Wii... the Wii Dance is coming next- can't wait to see him "making the moves" hehehe!!

Appreciate when you stop by and all the kind words!!
