SSCB 26- Chalkboard!!

Happy Wednesday and another Serendipity Stamps Challenge... we're playing with the chalkboard technique!! Talked with my mom earlier {lives in Northeast IN} and they just got 8 inches of snow!! Winter Wonderland!

Me... still in the Christmas/Winter mode and I inked up this adorable Snowman/woman..'kay I'm somewhat of a feminist... not in the Gloria Steinhem way... but, want us girls to get credit, LOL!!

I stamped this adorable snowman with versamark and heat embossed with white. Added a little color with pastel chalk and sponged some white ink around the image. Added some snow with Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow stencil using modeling paste. The sentiment is also from Serendipity and it was stamped in versamark and heat embossed with white.

Such a fun and still trendy technique!! Works with all kinds of images!!

Hope you find time to join us, and...

The rules are simple... play along using at least one Serendipity Stamps image on your submission and link it below. You don't have to have a blog to play along - you can link your designs to any on line gallery.

A Very Merry Christmas to You!!

Squeaked in another card tonight. Still playing with MFT MPD Sophisticated Snowflakes .... in LOVE!! There several images in this set but, this card only uses one.

The snowflakes were stamped in versamark and heat embossed with white. Added a little bling to the centers and silver bow. Sentiment is MFT LJD Stitched Stockings... NBUS that I have had since last Christmas.

I started with this image from this week's CASE study challenge.

Wanted to play with Mona's snowflakes...perfect match! Also perfect for this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge.... Let It Snow and CAS-ual Fridays challenge Let it Snow!!

may your holidays sparkle!!

Geez o pete... the holidays are upon me! Probably doesn't help that I started my shopping just last week! Haven't had much time to stamp. My sweet friend Mona from Cupcakes Creations sent me a surprise in the mail and I started on this card over a week ago and finally had a chance to finish!! Thanks girl!!

Aren't those snowflakes gorgeous!! The detail is fabulous!! They are Mona's- MFT MPD Sophisticated Snowflakes. I stamped them all over with Delicata gold ink. Added a sentiment from MFT, some gold twine, and gold jingle bells.

The sketch was last week's Deconstructed sketch, this week's Curtain Call Inspiration challenge and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge... snow.

CTD 272 - thank you- with love!!

Happy Happy Wednesday... WOW this month is flying by... guess that happens when I just started my Christmas shopping last WE!! Only on Saturday but, we began at 3:30p and I was home at 9:30p- long mall trip for me!!

This week Broni picked the colors and inspiration pic... I used both this time... a little spring inspiration... I'm ready!! Honestly, I should be ashamed to say that when I know there are so many parts of the country being blasted with snow and ice... but, I'm a warm weather girl!

My card....

Aren't those painted Ball jars fabulous!! I used a set of images and dies from Clear and Simple stamps that I bought last spring and never inked them up... shame on me! I used Well Preserved Jars Medium, Well Preserved Jars Extras, and the coordinating Well Preserved Jars Medium dies. Stamped the jar outlines in gray and then added the "insides" with another image in the different colors. The images are a little crackled looking just -how perfect is that!! Colored the flowers with copics- cut a slit and inserted.

You have earned your wings...

....many times over!! How fabulous is that sentiment!! It is from Waltzingmouse Fine Feathers and now there are coordinating dies... happy!! Ha- as I was typing this post... a little thought came to me that I HAVE earned my wings...That is shopping at a mall for 6 hours straight, well maybe 5 1/2 hours with a 14 year old granddaughter and my daughter who is no "slouch" when it comes to shopping! Really, I shouldn't complain- got a lot of the Christmas shopping done. I used to be so good and start in October but, the last few years... it's been a December thing. Maybe because I have to make sure those kids have made final decisions?

AND... my youngest has a BIG Birthday on Monday... 21!! SO hard to believe, seems like just yesterday she was mowing the yard with Bill- in a baby backpack/carrier- well, he mowed and she hung out on his back! She was just a little one but, that is what calmed her and, any mother/father would understand... we accommodated her!!

Anyway...

This month CASE study is a tribute to Cath Edvalson from Moxie Fab World... using images she has posted.

Used Mona's {MFT} Graduated Diamonds stencil with Heidi Swapp gold mist to create the vertical pattern. Die cut several feathers with WMS dies and stamped with the coordinating images using several blue shades and random/haphazard Delicata gold ink (have had this stuff for a couple months and not used... IN LOVE!).

Another Happy Wednesday to you!! Barbara picked some fabulous colors and I love the inspiration pic!! Loved all the cards from last week... hope you play again!!

My card....

Still playing at making my own backgrounds... lots of fun!! Here I used WPlus9's Merry and Bright along with the Christmas Words dies from Paper Smooches... LOVE them both!! There are so many more images in the Bright and Merry set- I only used 3 and the Paper Smooches die set has 7 dies that can be mixed- the Christmas on my card is the largest.

SSCB #25 - Happy Holidays!!

Here we are again for the new Serendipity Stamps challenge- this week the challenge is to make a "shaped" card!!!

Now, I will say mine is not a very creative shape, AND I had other ideas originally- but, I really wanted to color up this  Poinsettia Basket image and didn't think ahead! After they were colored and it was time to add the shape...this is the only shape that I had to accommodate! BUT- Aren't they gorgeous!! All the fine detail in the image is fabulous!! I stamped mine with Memento Tuxedo black onto XPress It blending CS and colored with copics. Added some gold pearls in the centers for a little bling. Tried adding bows {at the top, on the side.... didn't work...} This poinsettia basket just wanted to SHINE on its' own :-)

Did stamp the inside with a another Serendipity image... Holly with Frame and Happy Holidays sentiment!!

CASE Study challenge!!

Happy Tuesday!! Well, my dreams of cooking for 2 days and stamping for 3 didn't quite work out!! Those kids and their families/friends/boyfriends just came to visit almost every day!! Love them to pieces though and had a lot of fun!!

I did manage to make a card for this week's CASE study challenge. It's definitely on the CAS side {at least for me}

I went with the negative circles but, did them in an offset pattern. Stamped some Verve flowers from Surely Goodness and added some bling.... enamel dot, rhinestone, and halfback shiny pearl. The flowers were colored with copics and yes, purposely not blended for effect. Added a Verve butterfly- Blue Skies die cut  and stamped with versamark and heat embossed with white. Ohhh... and couldn't resist duplicating the embossed dots!

Here's the inspiration at CASE study...
Used the colors from ColorQ.... but, remembered kraft not... early espresso... so I did some sponging on the outside and inside of the circles with SU early espresso! The browns in the inspiration pic blend from light to dark :-)

Hope you're off to a great week!! Did you go out black Friday shopping... not this girl but, next WE will be a Christmas shopping blitz!!

Thanks for stopping by!! Love when you do and appreciate all the kind words!!
