Fluttering!!

Happy Sunday!! I had lots of time to stamp this WE!! Had lots of fun too!! Here's another card using the sweet Buggy stamp set and Buggy Sayings from Pink & Main.

Sweet, huh!! I stamped this butterfly onto XPress It Blending cardstock and colored with copics. Added the sentiment in multicolors. The sentiment actually says "fluttering by to say..." but, I cut off the last two words.

Here's a close up.

I used the ColorQ colors and the layout is Freshly Made Sketches.

Pink & Main- Buggy!!

GOOD Morning!! I am thrilled to tell y'all I was contacted by Michelle from Pink & Main stamps and she asked me if I would be interested in trying out some of her stamps. It's a new company... but, oooh the stamps are CA-UTE!!

I have been playing with Buggy and Buggy Sayings which will be released on April 1st...

This is my first card. I made several (4 to be exact, using 4 different images from the Buggy set)... there are 6 sweet "bugs" in this set and the Buggy Sayings have the most fabulous mixture of fonts!!
The image was stamped onto XPress It blending cardstock and colored with copics, fussy cut, and added some glitter to the wings!!

I used this week's CAS(e) this sketch for the layout.

Color Throwdown #335-Sending!!

Good Morning!! Time for the next set of colors for the Color Throwdown Challenge... brought to you by me!! I am in "full on" spring mode!!

I really want this dress from the Sundance catalog!! I can just see me "swishing along" enjoying the sunshine after a day at the beach!! You can see that too, right :)

I made a stencil with the Simon Says Stamp Butterfly Drift die, taped it down with washi tape over my card panel and sponged with inks. While the stencil was still in place I flicked some Heidi Swapp Color Shine in white. The butterfly outline is created from the die... love this!! It was layered over the sponged areas to give more definition. The sentiment and die are Simon Says Stamps Sending/Wishing.

bird-day wishes!!

Hey... I had a chance to stamp a little this WE!! Yay for me... this cold/flu bug has been kicking my butt!! The fatigue/cough just seems to last forever....ugh!!The temp is finally settling here- no drastic changes and I am enjoying the spring weather!!

So of course, I had to play with a bunch of NBUS (as Darnell would say)!!

Stamped these sweet birds from Reverse Confetti's The Tweet Life with Memento Tuxedo black and heat embossed with clear. Did a little watercoloring with SU So Saffron, die cut with the matching Reverse Confetti dies, and then added the "breast" or should that be "chest" design with images from The Tweet Life.  The banner, circle, and wonky border are all new Reverse Confetti dies.... IN LOVE!! Here's the link to all the new goodies at Reverse Confetti :)

I used the current SFYTT sketch for my layout.

And the colors from the current Curtain Call challenge.

Top Dog Dies Friday!!

Happy Happy Friday!! I'm back with my weekly Top Dog Dies post. This week I played with gold, pistachio, and white... IN LOVE!!

I used Top Dog Dies Elephants die set but, this time I used the negative, fun huh!!

Here's the full card.

The elephant was die cut out of Neenah Solar white. The background is the new Cosmo Cricket watercolor paper. I cut a piece the size I needed and watercolored with pistachio. Added a Top Dog Dies scalloped border to ground the image. Balloon were die cut with the Elephant die set and attached with londonderry twine to the trunk.

Hope you have a great weekend... I'm planning on relaxing!!

Color Throwdown #334- Happy!!

Good Morning Color Throwdown fans... time for the next set of fabulous colors!!! Hope you're having a great Wednesday!! Tammy brought us the colors this week, you'll love them!!

I was still in the mood for some flowers... spring is on its' way!! Could be lots of flowers showing up on my blog :)

I played with Verve's Happy Place stamp set for the background, flowers, and sentiment. The flower image was stamped with versamark onto Tim Holtz watercolor cardstock, die cut with Verve's coordinating dies (Happy Doodles) and then watercolored with SU melon mambo and pumpkin pie inks. The Rounded Scallop Verve die was cut with Neenah Solar white- inside panels stamped with versamark and Verve's dots from Bountiful Background- hard to see in the pic. Added the sentiment using Verve's Banner Bundle die set.

Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog- Spring!!

Good Morning!! It's Wednesday and time for another inspiration installment for the Serendipity Stamps Challenge!! This month it's all about Spring.... yeah!!

I am sooooo ready.... I KNOW everyone is!! I have had the "bug" for going on 3 weeks now and I'm still coughing :(  I am starting to get a little energy back- being exhausted at the end of the work day and coughing are the pits :) The last two days have been gorgeous and starting to work in the yard getting ready for the flowers to start growing/blooming!!

Anywho...dreaming of flowers!! I used Serendipity's Flower Pops negative and positive and coordinating dies for my card. LOVE these (and there may be some new ones coming soon, wink wink). Images were stamped with versamark onto Tim Holtz watercolor paper, embossed with white, and watercolored. The large solid flower image was stamped on the base card with versamark and heat embossed with silver. The Serendipity Dream die was the perfect finishing touch.

Tip: Did you know that you can create your own silver paper? If you are like me and a little anal :) I wanted my silvers to match. Since I didn't have any bright silver cardstock for the sentiment, I decided to make my own. I smooshed versamark onto white cardstock, applied silver embossing powder and heat set. Then with my silver paper, I die cut the "Dream" sentiment. I did pass it through my die cutting machine twice to make sure the cut went through my embossed paper.

I almost forgot... this time around the DT challenge was to use glossy accents. Wondering how I used them? The flower centers... I applied SU Crystal Effects (just like glossy accents) and then added some silver glass glitter for a little bling.

Our special guest this month is Karen Dunbrook of Snippets blog. I hope you will stop by her blog - I think you're going to love what you see!

For more inspiration there are samples from the design team on the challenge blog or you can visit them directly and get all the details by clicking on their names below.

Top Dog Dies Friday- Hope it Tickles!!

Good Morning... TGIF!! Today for my Top Dog Dies post I played with the Feathers Die Set.

and one of the borders from the Dotted Borders set.  First I die cut two of the feathers with white cardstock and sponged with distress inks, then, I die cut all three with some patterned vellum paper from PTI. The dotted border was added to the horizontal pattern for a little sumthin' sumthin'

The crackled background is a stamp from Waltzingmouse along with the sentiment.

Hope you have a great WE.... me, I'm hoping for a little quiet and relaxation... and some stamping time!! I was "lucky" enough to get the bug going around and have been fighting it for over a week.... ugh!!

The layout is this week's Freshly Made Sketch.

Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop!!

Good Morning and welcome to the Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop!! We are featuring some new dies and stamps available now at Serendipity Stamps! Whoo Hoo!

You should have arrived here from Miriam's blog, (gorgeous, right!) if you got lost along the way, just pop along to the Serendipity Stamp's blog and start from the beginning.

We have a special guest joining us - our teamie Anya.  She designed the retro graphic stamps and I cant wait to see the backgrounds she will create with them.

I have to say I got a little carried away playing with them myself.... and there are sooo many possibilities!!

For this card I used two of the images and stamped a random monochromatic background. The Happy die was inlaid and I added a little twine for fun.

Here's another card using the retro graphic images. For this one, the solid circle was stamped with pool party and then the starburst image was stamped with versamark and embossed with silver. Added a layered Hello die, some silver sequins and silver string.

For my last card, I created a bokeh sky, added hills using Pretty Pink Posh border dies (Mary is carrying PPP dies in the shop now too!!), stamped this sweet elephant on Xpress It Blending cardstock and colored with copics. The sentiment is from Serendipity and it was stamped on a Cherry Lynn circle die (from Serendipity Stamps) and colored with copics. The sweet elephant and sentiment were popped up with foam dots for dimension.

That's it for me today.... oh, how I wanted to play some more... there are so many wonderful images in this release... but, I was blessed with the flu bug and my energy waned :)

Here's the deets.... there's a prize...One $20 gift code will go to one random commenter from the blogs. The more blogs you visit, and leave a comment, the greater chance to win. You have until  March 15th to leave comments, winner will be posted on Serendipity's Stamps blog on March 16th.

Next stop on the hop is my sweet friend Jeanne, sure to be something bright and beautiful...

Here's the full hop list.

Serendipity Stamps Blog Challenge- Spring Fever!!

It's time for a new monthly Serendipity Stamps challenge... this month it's all about SPRING!! You're ready, right!! I live in the south and I have to say it has been cold!! I realize nothing like my family/friends are dealing with in the Midwest or Northeast... BUT.... I want to see the flowers blooming... warm, sunny days....

That's what this month is all about "Bring on Spring"!! Mary (owner of Serendipity Stamps) always gives the DT an extra challenge and this week is St. Patrick's Day!!!

I have always celebrated St. Patty's... lived south of Chicago (they usually die the river green- wonder if it will be thawed enough to do that this year...hoping!) and there is a Patterson in our family!!

I die cut the oval and stitched oval with Cherry Lynn dies (Serendipity carries these). The sentiment Happy St. Patty's Day was stamped in Lucky Limeade. My three leaf clover is a Serendipity die Shamrock Clover. Added some sparkle using DCWV glitter papers.

Our special guest this month is Karen Dunbrook of Snippets blog. I hope you will stop by her blog - I think you're going to love what you see!

For more inspiration there are samples from the design team on the challenge blog or you can visit them directly and get all the details by clicking on their names below.

We're so sorry there is no sale this week.  Our fearless leader, Mary, had a mishap and is out of commission.  She had surgery on her back and we're hoping she'll be as good as new SOON!
