Viva la Verve sketch- Sunny Days!!

Happy Sunday!! After over a week of rain... the sun is shining but, it's a little nippy!! Yesterday was prom day and my granddaughter/grandson were gorgeous/handsome!! I spent half of the day watching the hair/makeup being done (Maddie/granddaughter and Maryelle/grandson's girlfriend).... missed the pedicure/manicure... it was 8am breakfast and it was Saturday for grandma!!

Anyway... I did get a chance to do a little stamping

Went all scrappy and busy here... had a ton of fun!! The flowers from Verve's Sunny Days were die cut with the matching die, stamped with versamark and heat embossed with clear... for a little shine. Ditto for the leafy sprigs. I cut two of Verve's Award Banner Trim die, overlaid the colors and added a little twine from The Cats Pajamas. Papers are Pebble-Jan Hadfiled Home + Made. Added some sequins from Verve's Signature Sequin Mix and a few pearls to finish off.

Used the Verve Week 3 sketch..

Color Throwdown #339- Oh Yeah!!

Happy, Happy Hump Day!! Fun colors this week brought to us by Joan!!! I Love a black/white card with a pop of color and Joan went with yellow!!

Here's my card....

So... last Friday and Saturday I spent with the amazing Debbie Olsen in copic coloring classes. Just want to say... worth every penny!! Not sayin' I'm an expert but, Debbie gives you so many ideas and "bits of wisdom" to use when you leave. She is sweet, patient, and talented!!

This is a Saturated Canary image that I ordered a couple months ago when I signed up for the classes hoping that I would be able to color after... so, on Sunday inked her up and tried to apply what I learned. Still need to work on the "dark side" hehe!!

The sentiment is WPlus9's Strictly Sentiments 5... love the fonts and size of sentiments in this set.

SFYTT- happy BEE day!!

Happy Sunday y'all!! It has been raining all day...perfect for stamping :) I had not had a chance to ink up these sweet bees from Reverse Confetti so....

A little close up so you can see the glitter on the wings!

The bees were stamped with Memento Tuxedo black, and die cut with the coordinating dies, colored the stripes with copics, added some glitter for the wings so you can see the sweet stitched outline on the wings. The pom poms (a blast from the past) were layered on a Reverse Confetti Wonky scallop die (hard to see) and added a few enamel dots for fun!

Here's the SFYTT sketch...

PS My niece delivered on Thursday night, late!! Sweet Clayton and Ashley are doing well!! He's a cutie patootie or maybe I should say handsome!! They live in IN and I am NC so we have been on the phone and my sis has been texting me photos!! Hoping to go home soon, he needs a little Great Aunt cuddling!!! Wow... never imagined I would say "great aunt"!!

Top Dog Dies Friday... Fabulous!!

I am in LOVE with the Antique Signature Dies at Top Dog Dies... here's another one!! I have made several cards using the large shaped image so, imagine my delight... giddy when the Antique Mat Die was just release...

For the base I used Top Dog Dies Signature  Antique die ... and then layered  with Top Dog Dies Antique Mat Die (newly released). You can use the larger die cut to make a shaped card.. and the Mat Die to add layers... the mat die it cuts two shapes. A thin outline on the outside with the main shape on the inside... and the die cuts have the dotted detail. Love!!

I have had so much fun playing with these and there will be more in the works...I'm still playing!! It's like a basic die with layers and change it up, whatever your heart desires... For this card I used Top Dog Dies Bottles 2 die set with a Verve sentiment from Love's Flower...

Color Throwdown #338- Celebrate!!

Happy Wednesday and Happy Hump Day!! My week's one day short as I am spending Friday and Saturday at copic coloring classes with Debbie Olsen... excited and hoping I won't embarrass myself too much :)

This week's colors are brought to us by Broni...

Isn't the bunny and bear adorable!!

Here's my card...

I played with some new Altenew stamps/dies. The Parisian motif was stamped with versamark onto watercolor paper, die cut with the coordinating die (did you know Altenew came out with dies to match some of their sets... LOVE) and then watercolored using SU and Distress Inks.HA-- I probably need some watercoloring classes too!! It was layered onto a stitched die from Lil Inkers which was layered over a die cut using SSS Piestra Tile. Those flag banners were made with my "go to" MFT flag stax. The sentiment is from Altenew's Label Love.

Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog- Monograms and Verse!

Welcome! Were are at the halfway point for this month's challenge and the DT is providing more inspiration but, you get the whole 4 weeks to play along! You still have two weeks left to link up your design!

Monograms and Verse – Create a monogram card or a card that features a verse. If you choose to do a monogram feel free to be creative! Snip a letter off a die. Use a single letter from a verse stamp. Mix letters from different alphabets. Need a little more inspiration? Just make sure you include at least one Serendipity Stamps image on your design.

Want to go shopping? We're trying something new - a "stamp of the month". This time it's the Jar Label. You can purchase the stamp of the month all through April for 50% off. You can see it here. AND... 50% Off select Wood Mounted stamps (click here to see )

I am still playing with the new Peony stamp and used one of my fav verses from Serendipity... And I Think To Myself

I stamped the peony images in the opposite corners using the masking technique and then, colored with copics. The center was die cut with Cherry Lynn dies... I die a larger circle in my colored panel and then die cut the next size smaller with SU strawberry slush to add a colored "rim". The sentiment was stamped onto a base white layer. Popped the colored layer on top for dimension and added a couple of enamel dots. Oh, I added some wink of stella to the centers for a little shine :)

For more inspiration there are samples from the design team on the challenge blog or you can visit them directly and get all the details by clicking on their names below.

The rules are simple... play along using at least one Serendipity Stamps image on your submission and link it below. You don't have to have a blog to play along - you can link your designs to any on line gallery. In fairness to other players, we reserve the right to remove entries that do not display a Serendipity Stamps image.

Ahh... the last Waltzingmouse Stamps PJ Party challenge... a sketch :)

The last challenge for the WMS PJ party is a sketch!

AND... I had fun playing- keep this in mind when you see the sketch... I veered off a titch!!

WMS on this card...  the Wood Grain Background from Way Out West, Candy Wagon, and Bitty Banners and a whole buncha' ribbon and twine. I was in the mood :)

The sketch...

So, I have a banner, vertical panels, a center element, a titch of a square background...not necessarily in the order of the layout provided :)

Waltzingmouse Stamps- PJ Party- Old Pajamas!!

Yes, yes, yes.... still playing with some WMS for the PJ party!!

This challenge was to use older WMS and specifically... one of the nestabilitie compatible stamps. I pulled out French Country... isn't that border gorgeous!! I added a little copic coloring to mine. The sentiment and border on the nestie (labels 25) is from the same set. Added a bow.... I still love bows!!

Waltzingmouse Stamps- PJ Party- Gift Tag!!

I'm in a happy mood today- Waltzingmouse is having a PJ Party!! I missed the last one and then, they were on hiatus for several different reasons... stuff 'n things!

This picture does not do the sentiment justice... just sayin' because I took a gazillion pics and finally ran out of steam!!

This is for the gift tag challenge. I used the stitched tag dies (two sizes) to make this sweet tag!! The sentiment is from WMS Little Darlings Sentiments. Isn't the sweet heart on the top of the tag perfect (one of the elements in the Stitched Tag Dies) and I added a little pearl for fun. It's all clipped onto a white bag and decorated with some ribbon.

Waltzingmouse Stamps- PJ Party- Gift Card!!

Here'a another ditty for the WMS PJ Party!!

This challenge is all about presenting Gift Cards... now I was on a baby theme but, you can do can switch that up. (hoping those WMS girls will be understanding when they see my sketch card.... definitely changed up)

A close up of this sweet bow (WMS Little Darlings and matching die)... all the detail is amazing!

I created the envelope for my gift card using the WMS Gift Card It Die... makes everything so simple, sweet, and quick!!

I die cut the gift card holder and stamped with the Pinstripe Background... added the bow and sentiment. To hold my gift card closed I used velcro spots. The sentiment is from WMS Little Darling set.

Viva la Verve sketch- Chocolate!!

Happy Sunday to y'all!! I played in between supervising getting the yard cleaned up... we are officially in the spring season!! We took out an old bush... planted a "snowball"... peonies are sprouting, our robin has eggs in her nest outside our bathroon window... good times!!

I finally had a chance to ink up Verve's Chocolate stamps and the Chocolate die... AND used the week 1 Viva la Verve sketch!

Here's my card...

The papers are Authentique...which I thought went well with Verve's Chocolate stamps (the whole monochromatic thing) and die. Isn't the dripping chocolate fun.... fussy cut that piece. The sentiment is stamped on Verve's Rounded Scallop frame.

Here's the sketch....

Top Dog dies Friday... coffee!!

Given enough coffee I could rule the world... or dream about it :)

Okay.. this new Top Dog Coffee die is "right up my alley" I am soo a coffee lover... the other morning I overslept but, in my final moments before waking up I was dreaming that people were coming in my house to make coffee in my Keurig... weird huh?

Another coffee card...

I die cut the Coffee cup and sponged with distress inks. The sleeve was die cut twice and then I trimmed the black one to get the extra band. Added some gloss to the heart. Sentiment and coffee rings are from Verve's Better For You

Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop!!

Good Morning and Welcome to the Serendipity Stamps blog hop!! We are featuring some new dies and stamps available now at Serendipity Stamps!

You should have arrived here from Miriam's blog (gorgeous I know) but, if you got lost along the way I have a full list below.

I am the first stop on the hop so, you should have arrived here from the Serendipity Stamp's blog. If you got lost along the way I have the links to the other designers below. I made several cards so be patient with me :)

My first card uses the new Peony stamp... it was stamped twice on cardstock and I added some dimension with copics as well as fussy cutting one of the blooms and layering with foam dots for dimension. The oval was die cut with Cherry Lynn ovals and stitched ovals (Serendipity sells these also- a little one stop shopping). Added one of Serendipity's die cut words... Celebrate...love these!!

My next card uses the new Spring Flower Pops stamps and dies. I played with some gold embossing and watercoloring. The flowers are mounted onto a Pretty Pink Posh die cut (another one stop shopping as Serendipity offers PPP dies) with gold cardstock.

Another Peony card... stamped the image and heat embossed with gold. Added a little color with copics and the Sweet sentiment from Serendipity. I wanted the golds to match so I created my own gold paper (sponged versamark onto white cardstock, added gold embossing powder, heat set, and die cut the sentiment)

My last card features another new Serendipity word die... Create layered over Serendipity's Mug of Art stamp . Don't you love the font on this one!!

Okay... there are prizes... a $20 gift certificate to will go to one commenter randomly selected from all the blogs.   You can leave comments through 4-12 .. the winner will be announced on the Serendipity Stamp's blog on 4-13.
