Color Throwdown #399

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! Loved all the cards last week!! This week the colors were chosen by MEl!! Hope you enjoy them- I believe I was in the mood for sweets when I chose this inspiration pic :-)

Here's my card....

I played with a few MFT products- the stitched rectangle is from Blueprints 13, the rug was stamped with an image from Merry Christmoose after diecuting with the coordinating die-namic (my sweet friend Bar and fellow teamie did this once and I have been waiting to case her), the sentiment and my pooch are from Lucky Dog (also using the coordinating die-namics). All images were colored with copics. The stitched rectangle and pooch were popped up with foam dots for a little dimension.

Some inspiration...

Color Throwdown #398- Happy!

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! Loved all the cards last week!! This week the colors were chosen by Lynnl!! You're going to love them!!

How perfect are these for summer!!

Here's my card....

Had fun playing with watercolor and some Ellen Hutson Essentials Wish Big stamps and dies. The colors are a little muted which happens sometimes when you watercolor.. some watercolor mediums turn out brighter but, I used "stamping inks".

Some inspiration...

It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! Loved all the cards last week!! This week the colors were chosen by Loril!! You're going to love them!!

This week we're playing with kraft, yellow, and green!!

So, I totally went with the colors and the pineapple image using some Reverse Confetti stamps that I bought a while back and never inked up. I used this month's SFYTT sketch.

AND... I need to go to the beach for a few days :)

Please give a warm welcome to this month's Guest Designer, Kara Vrabel!

Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop and Challenge!!

Good Morning- so glad you stopped by today. The Serendipity Stamps DT are showing off some new goodies in the store and combining it with this month's Serendipity Stamps Challenge-- This month it's all about backgrounds!! AND this time around the DT were asked to add an additional challenge... Wedding/Anniversary! It's that time of year!!

You should have arrived here from Miriam's blog but, if you got lost along the way I have a full list below.

I have one card for you today...

I started with white cardstock and heat embossed the Beaded Strings background stamp with white embossing powder, the sides were distressed for a little vintage feel. Next I die cut two of the Heart Scroll Valance and Border die- sponged with pink and grey ink and attached. Stamped the Wedding Cake, colored with copics, fussy cut out and adhered in the center. The Congratulations die was cut with white and pink/coral cardstock- layered and adhered with foam dots for dimension. Added some ribbon and a fancy rhinestone.

Here's a little close up- you can see that I used the  Beaded Strings background stamp. Once I started I just seemed to add more and it was covered up a little :)

Don't forget to leave comments as you hop.... the prize is a $20 gift certificate to one commenter randomly selected from all the blogs.    You can leave comments through 6-19 .. the winner will be announced on Mary's blog on 6-20.

Last, but not least.... the stamp of the month....Love is Patient, Love is Kind at 50% off...

Your next stop on the hop is my sweet friend Jeanne Jachna (the full list is below). Jeanne is the Queen of bright colors... they're beautiful too!!
There are lots of new goodies :) in the store, you can find them here

Color Throwdown #395- because!!

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! Loved all the cards last week!! This week the colors were chosen by our Jodil!! You're going to love them!!

This week we're playing with kraft, green, and cream (well, I got a little confused- I saw white :-)

I took the opportunity to use my new MFT die-namic "because". As you can see I didn't combine it with any of the sentiments from the set- instead I used a sentiment from MFT's LLD Sweet Succulents. The "because" die was cut with white and kraft and layered showing a shadow. I die cut MFT's Brick Wall cover up and used it as a stencil (double duty- gotta love that) and sponged with kraft ink. The succulent was die cut, stamped, colored with copics, and I added some glossy accents. Added some splatters of green, kraft, and white for a little fun.

Please give a warm welcome to this month's Guest Designer, Kara Vrabel!
