Grand Symphony

Just received my new VIP kit from MFT and had some fun!! Layout is this week's sketch from the MFT forum on SCS and the MFT Guest Desginer challenge this month is to get die-mentional. Stamped an outline from the Framed Greetings die/stamp set and added a sentiment from the VIP kit, Musical Girl Mini {sorry, only available when the kit is released two weeks ahead of MFT's regular release} and popped on top. Pearl flourish came in the VIP kit also. Added rolled roses and mini rolled roses with a pearl in the center. Perfect bracket edge die was cut out in pink and embossed with my swiss dots folder. Stitched two panels in gray. Now, the flowers, pearls, sentiment panel all add some die-mension but, I also popped the whole panel on top of the base card for a little extra!!

A side view of the dimension....

TFL!! Hope you're having a great day. Me, I'm "getting stampy"!!

"Ewe Make Me Feel All Warm and Toasty"

I made this card a while back for a TCP Tuesday sketch challenge (#144) and didn't get it posted in time. You can find The Cats Pajamas challenges here and on their forum on SCS. This is a "shout out" to all my family and blogging friends that are still dealing with the snow and cold!! Love ya' all but, I'm sure glad I'm not dealing with it, hehehe!! I get paid back in the summer when it's over 100 degrees here along with the humidity and "nice and warm" there!!

This adorable sheep is from Sheepish and the sketch layout was TCPTues144. Used Echo Park Wintertime dp and cutouts. Stamped the image on white and colored face, legs, arms with copics. Paper pieced the scarf and pockets. Added some hearts from my nesties and TCP's heart dies {love these things, different shapes and styles}. Some TCP twine, a button, and flag tag finished it off.

TFL!! We've gpt a little cool weather this weekend (50's- yeah, I know that's not very cool) to 60's this weekend and the sun is shining!! If you stop by, leave a comment, love to hear from  you!!

Ingredients
Stamps: TCP Sheepish

You Make Me Smile!!

I have made cards for the last 3 Curtain Call Color Challenges and business at work and home have kept me from posting. Will post the other two at a later date but, this week I am on time... Whoo Hoo!! Stacey's Colors this week are Tempting Tuqoise, Tangerine Tango, Pear Pizzazz, and Whisper White. The pic shows fabulous candles. Definitely some spring colors, I'm thinking.

Pic...

My card....

Used some dp I've had for a while (SU pear pizzazz) and some new dp (Making Memories). Love the argyle next to the dots. MFT dainty doily border punch (one of my favs, what am I saying--I have LOTS of favs). Added white ribbon from SU and a new Prima flower. It is made of netting and material that is kind of like burlap but, softer, velvet type (first thought is corduroy) piece with a fabric covered button on top. Sentiment is from Verve's Love Notes (lots of versatile elements and sentiments in this set... check it out here).

TFL!!  Hope  you're having a great start to the weekend!! Me, I'm getting ready to meet my oldest (the bride girl) for dinner!! She's getting married next November, 11/11/11, how sweet!!?? Okay, it's a friday and has presented some challenges with all family living in the Midwest. It shall be okay... we have caterer (OMG... had a blast with that), photographer (absolutely sweet and on the same page with us), place (historic Southern plantation kinda house that is gorgeous), some of the table decorations and aisle decorations (okay, lots actually). At dusk so tealights on shepherd hooks for ceremony, and lots of twinkle lights around porch and columns). Oh, cake and it will be gorgeous, Dominica makes the most absolutely "real" sugar flowers, not a lot but, strategically placed and gorgeous fall colors. Frou Frou ( I wasn't "frou frou" when I got married a long time ago so, it's interesting the different generations) Dress is bought and hanging in my "guest room" along with a bunch of other stuff--- needs to be called the wedding room for the next year!! LOL!!

Good Lord, I am rambling here. It's like the wedding checklist. Believe me if you have a girl, you'll be doing it someday yourself!! LOL!!

Ingredients
Stamps: Verve Love Notes
Paper: white, turqoise, tangerine tango, MM dp, SU dp

Another sentiment that gets me singing.... good thing I'm in a room by myself!!! LOL!! Couldn't carry a tune if I tried!! Anywho... The Cat's Pajamas has a weekly challenge that you can find here. This was for an inspiration challenge with pic provided by "the" Jen Del Muro.

Here's the pic....

I focused on the colors, cake "layers" and round circles on the cake and flowers. As well, the first container says "sprinkles". Stamped the image from Spring Rain onto white, colored with copics and cut out. Stamped the umbrella again on dp and cut out and layered. Jacket is paper pieced. Added horizontal trim panels cut with the Apron and Big Scallop dies. Did a little stitching, added button with divine twine.

TFL!! Just think..... tomorrow is FRIDAY, Whoo Hoo!! If you stop by, leave a comment. Love to hear from you!!

Yikes... no sentiment on the front of my card??

This card is for Jen's SFYTT for the month of February. Now, normally I have a sentiment on the front and my title comes from that or something similar.... no go today!!! This card started out with Jen's layout and some chipboard elements from the same line... Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 and then, I wondered if I had stamps similar to the chipboard elements to substitute... thus, the card you see. So Saffron circle uses a Waltzing Mouse stamp that is nestie compatible "Vintage Small Circles", then, stamped a fleur from Verve's Accent Notes and heat embossed with clear {needed to stand out more}, on top of that is a flower punched with SU's Itty Bitty punches with a black rhinestone {popped and layered}. Added SU black grosgrain ribbon and buttons with some wonderfully divine, Divine Twine from The Cats Pajamas. Buttons are SU.

Jen's sketch....
