Waltzingmouse and Thinking About You...

Weekly sketch on WMS by Belinda Chang.... now, when I first saw the sketch I wished that I had the doily stamps as I normally LOVE to make chic/shabby cards {which I LOVE BTW} but, I had to create something different from my norm. Had some fun with it and definitely a challenge for me, Belinda... used some Cosmo Cricket dp- Upcycle- not shabby but, "girlfriend" how perfect!! One of my bestie girlfriends is my sister... how Lucky am I !! Actually, my girls and I are bestie GF's too... now that's depending on the "mom" hat I feel compelled to use sometimes... TMI?? Anywho... IMHO... my girls think I'm a titch behind reality.... what they don't understand yet is that I'm Waaay Ahead... BTDT!!!

My different... fun hat....

Aren't those buttons adorable, and the Holiday Labels No. 14 from WMS is perfect with the papers and buttons!! Sentiment from WMS Fancy Phrases... love this set, although there is a new set Say it Out Loud that is on my list!!
Belinda's sketch....

Have you "evah" had grand plans.... lots of time to stamp and no distractions!!! Well... I have to say Grand Plans don't always come to fruition.... thought I had this wonderful day to myself tomorrow and now, I'm going to work 'cause things are like a "wildfire" and I'm the fireman {without credentials as a firefighter, LOL!!}  This is one of those moments when I need to calculate the retirement or push the DH to accomodate me!!

Gabby as can be...

If you happen to stop by, I love to hear from you even if it is to tell me I'm a little tooooo gabby!!!

Life is Good!!

Actually... it is... a little busy but, good!! Graduation party Friday night, Graduation Saturday late afternoon, after hanging at the pool with my daughter, and another party Saturday night. Had lots of fun and saw a lot of old friends... always a good thing!!

Made this card for MOJO Monday {yeegads... it's been a while}. I'd tell you to go over and check it out but, I think I'm squeezing it "under the wire"!! Loved the layout {now they're always good though!!}. Pulled out some Prima Madeline papers {love these colors}. White bg is stamped with Verve Text Objects, layered the papers, added some lace from Wild Orchid krafts, baja breeze and cherry cobbler seam binding layered on a Vintage Oval Cut Above Die from Verve that was stamped in early espresso with the Vintage Oval stamp, and a chocolate flower from Wild Orchid krafts. Sentiment is from Verve's Hope Blooms.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend!! Didn't get to do my blog surfing and catching up but this is a no book club week {hosting at my house}, no grad parties and I will be around!! Appreciate when you stop by and love to hear what you have to say!!

TFL!!

Tea Time

Yikes.... finally had time to make a card AND post!! Busy little bee with family, friends, work, life!!! Thought I was going into a little withdrawal there for a minute...  wondering if I was going to start with fine tremors in my hands, LOL!! Speaking of fine tremors in your hands.... I am a major coffee drinker but, I make it so strong that several years ago my DH stopped coffee and started on green tea... he was having fine tremors in his hands, oops!! I do love all things tea/coffee related though {cups, pots, fine linens... you know what I mean!!} and fell in love with Waltzingmouse Stamps tea stamps {along with a few others!!}

I digress.... card is for WMS's sketch challenge and the CR84FN challenge to use light pink, medium green, and a neutral {hope kraft is good} and uses WMS Afternoon Tea Sentiments-- see there really WAS a reason my mind was on the tea thing!!

Used some gorgeous Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden dp with SU crumbcake. Added some stitching on the outer sides of the square panels. An image from WMS Very Vintage Labels 10 was stamped on a Labels 10 nestie. Teacup from WMS Afternoon Tea Sentiments stamped on some of the PP dp and sentiment stamped in crumbcake and heat embossed with clear. Sponged crumbcake ink onto a PP Artisan Element and layered. Added pink ribbon, lace, buttons tied with kraft twine. Fun card!!

Thanks for stopping by.. leave a comment if you do.. love to hear from you!!

Between busy and blogger has "not recognized" me lately {I mean how frustrating is it when you log in 10 times and still can't post a comment!!}, I'm a little behind in visiting/commenting but, my plan is to have some time this weekend to get a little sun, do some stampin, and some visiting!! Sounds wonderful, huh!!??

Mama Said There Would Be Days Like This....

How about weeks, LOL!! Last Friday I got to stamp a little for the first time in a couple weeks {definitely having the shakes, LOL!!} I have been missing my weekly sketch challenges. blog surfing/commenting, and I have missed a bit but, managed to get a card or two done. This card started out with Jen's SFYTT {yes, I am definitely down to the wire here} and had some Graphic 45 dp that I bought 'cause I liked the colors and they fit the Play Date Cafe Challenge this week for black/white with a splash of green... perfect!!
Recently bought some Unity stamps and haven't had a chance to play with all of them... absolutely loved this sentiment and image {definitely fits my time/place right now and yes, that could have been my "mama" when I was growing up!!}

Inside with sentiment

Jen's sketch... changed the outer rectangle to a wonky one and the circle too, took a little liberty  with the sketch.

PDCC colors

TFL!! {boggers still acting like a two-year old "in my humble opinion"-- actually I don't know but, it's a pita to try to post some days!

Viva La Verve...

Now that things are a "little" quieter on the homefront... I was able to get some stamping done, yeah me!! Worked on the Verve weekly sketches {week 2 and 3} ... check out the challenge on SCS!! Just participate in each sketch, post to the champions thread and you have a chance to win the next Verve release.... yes, prizes to be won!! As well, Verve is having a Memorial Day weekend sale... go grab some of the most fabulous flowers and sentiments!!

This card was made with Diva Maureen's sketch...

Now... I am not normally a "purple" person but, I got this Lilly Bee picket fence dp and then, bought some PTI ribbon {no purple in my stash} and combined with kraft. Made two scallops with Verve's Sweet Scallop Tag die {one in the text dp and one kraft}, cut the kraft to fit the middle, stitched, and added the sentiment in early espresso. Used the blossom nesties and stitched one with kraft {use the next smallest nestie from the panel you will put on your card, lightly outline with a pencil and stitch-ONE stitch at a time, takes a little time but, works perfectly- tip from Jody Morrow}. Sarah Martina Parker has been the MUSE at CASE study this past month and she likes to add paint on her cards. I added a little white paint on the polka dot panel and to the wood butterflies... not the expert at this but, wanted to "spread my wings" and try, yeah I know corny!!

The next layout is from Diva Amy.....

Pre-ordered all the CC line a while back.. thrilled when it came and have hardly used {I think I have been on a dp kick with all the new stuff that has come out.... yes, I SAID I was easily enabled, LOL!! DP is from Cosmo Cricket's Social Club, added some stitching, crochet trim with ribbon intertwined, large prima flowers, Jenni Bowlin button and blueberry divine twine from The Cats Pajamas. The sentiment is from Verve's Swirling Hearts and stamped on Verve's Charming Oval dies, kraft divine twine, and pearls from Pizazzaplenty.

TFL!! Hope you are having a wonderul and glorius holiday weekend {tomorrow is the pool and cooking out on Monday at my house}!! Appreciate when you stop by and leave a comment, makes my day!!
