Serendipity Stamps Challenge # 21 ---Happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Wednesday!! Thanksgiving will be here before you know it!! My oldest daughter is already wanting to get together to discuss-- menu etc. Not sure why since we usually make the same things-- ya' know everyone's favorites!!

Anywho- down to business.....Welcome to the new installment of the Serendipity stamp challenge. This time we are to paper piece. This is one that I like to do off and on so it was fun making a card!! Well, it's always fun making a card... what was I saying!!

I used Pumpkins in a Barrow for my main image. The image was stamped onto very vanilla cardstock and then again, onto Authentique's Thankful designer paper. I fussy cut the pumpkins and wheelbarrow and adhered. The orange/red was also stamped with Serendipity's oak leaf in Versamakr for a little "sumthin sumthin". Then I covered it up with the sentiment and a big ole' bow!!

The inside I left a plain so that a personal message could be added.

Hope you find time to join us, and...

The rules are simple... play along using at least one Serendipity Stamps image on your submission and link it below. You don't have to have a blog to play along - you can link your designs to any on line gallery.

CTD262- Swell Birthday!!

Happy Wednesday!! Wanda picked the colors this week and I love them!! Isn't the inspiration pic fabulous.... it's definitely a fall theme.... only I used them a little bit differently!

Here's my card...

Still playing obsessing with the Waltzingmouse Stamps Art Deco Backgrounds. Experimenting with making my own backgrounds {I'm normally a designer paper girl and actually really should be using up my stash!!} Loved the Retrosketches layout this week and it worked perfectly with what I had in mind!! the "dot" in the center is from Waltzingmouse Stamps Funky Flowers. Added a few sequins for good measure!

Used this week's Retrosketch for the layout.

CTD261--For You!!

It's my "debut" picking colors "For You" and I chose some bright ones, big surprise!?!

Here's my card...

Playing with some new Waltzingmouse stamps Funky Flowers and a MFT MPD stencil Graduated Dots. First I stamped lines using WPlus9's Country Charm {in a haphazard way} and then laid the graduated dots stencil on top, sponging with pacific point and marina mist. Then I stamped several sizes of the flower and fussy cut out. Added some dimension using foam dots. The leaves were stamped with lucky limeade and pacific point. I used the "backside" of the leaf stamps too. Finally added the sentiment from Waltzingmouse stamps Big Day- Today.

SSBC#20- Watercolor!

Happy Wednesday!! Welcome to the new installment of the Serendipity stamp challenge. This time we are to watercolor. It's such a fun and easy technique but, one I forget about using quite often.

Here's my card....

I have had these feathers- Feather Background- in my stash for a while and have been wanting to play with them. Mary has some fabulous flowers but, I really wanted to see if I could watercolor these. I stamped the large background image in early espresso and heat embossed with clear.... the embossing makes the watercoloring easier... no bleeding. Then, I used my water brush to color the feathers in red/pink, greens. and yellows. Next, I over stamped the images with a Serendipity stamps Nature Gives sentiment on an angle. Layered some papers and added a little stitching.

I have this tendency to decorate the inside.... here it is

Thought the "In The Attitude " sentiment went well with feathers.

Hope you find time to join us, and...
