CTD268- glad tidings!!

Happy Happy Wednesday... I always say that don't I!! Love the colors/image that is being brought to us by Tammy this week. Fun colors and sooooo many possibilities!!

Okay I saw a bunch of color and viney twines!?!

Started with barnwood paper (I think from MME) and sponged pool party over the gray. Then I die cut a Memory Box die but, only parts of it all the way through the die. So there are some areas popped out and some that are embossed. Rounded the corners and sponged with SU basic gray all around. To add the colors I sponged them on some of the "popped up" pieces and added rhinestones all over. Added a sentiment from Verve and a seam binding bow.

Here's a close up to see all those rhinestones....

happy!

Yes, I had a chance to stamp a little this WE.... in btwn. running around for the grandkids-one is a JV cheerleader and went to the game--- FROZE, the other had a ROTC meet -had a little sun as it was during the day- not as cold thank goodness and, then, Sunday spent shopping/planning for Thanksgiving and Christmas!!

My happy card for this week's ColorQ challenge....

And the colors....

Started with the sketch from Cardabilities... tweaked it a little:-)

sending ooddles of...

love and hugs.... this sentiment makes me happy (courtesy of Claire at Waltzingmouse Stamps)

and... the triangles (Kelly Purkey at Simon Says Stamp) and the Glitz Wild and Free papers... aren't those horses adorable... add a little twine and stitching... a metallic arrow in the corner... perfect... happy!! OH... there's a "titch" of color in there too :-)

Fun card! Made this for the Simon Says Stamp CAS challenge.

I spent the day Saturday at Devin's JROTC competition... his troop came in 3rd... tied for second but, the 5K was the decision maker. Events included a 1K and 5K run, rappelling on a rope between two trees, pulling a Humvee with a rope (physical force/ boys/girls), and carrying someone on a stretcher down the field and back... Carrying flags and rooting for each other... definite team spirit!! Definite good kids!!

CTD267 - Peace!!

It's another Color Throwdown challenge- this week brought to us by Melody. I'm still playing with my new WPlus9 stamps... even went CAS on this one!! Well... at least for me anywho!!

The colors....

Wonderful!! Love the inspiration pic but, I don't have a snowglobe... although I've seen some I adore!!

Still playing with my WPlus9 stamps from the latest release (it seems a few of my teamies are enjoying this set too!) The wreath is from Woodland Wreaths. When die cutting the wreath - there is a center piece that normally I would throw away but, thought it would work well to add the Peace sentiment and then pop the wreath on top for a little dimension. Stamped the fern image in Always Artichoke and Old Olive and added some turquoise berries. Finished it off with a turquoise bow and enamel dot.

SSCB23- Use up those paper scraps!!

Used up my scraps and did a little color blocking while I was playing!! Here's the tutorial on Splitcoaststampers.... adhere all your scrap paper strips onto cardstock, mine was 5 1/4 by 4. I did this in a horizontal pattern but, you could do it on the diagonal for another fun combo! Then pick out a fun die/one of your favs... I chose this fabulous heart from Serendipity stamps. Die cut the heart into the paper scraps panel.... now you have both the negative and positive to play with.... which is exactly what I did :-)

Both together...

Here's the negative ....

Here's the positive...

Oooops! Did I get the positive/negative backwards? Isn't that a fabulous heart die... big and bold!! Use some Authentique Lovely papers from last year... they still make me smile!! The sentiment is perfect in scroll script... also from Serendipity.

Hope you find time to join us, and...

The rules are simple... play along using at least one Serendipity Stamps image on your submission and link it below. You don't have to have a blog to play along - you can link your designs to any on line gallery.
