My Favorite Things Sketch AND Color Challenge...

OK- not sure if I can combine these two challenges.... MFT Sketch challenge and MFT Color challenge....

BUT... this girl had a little time today to play....

With a sentiment... love the sentiment but, couldn't decide if I like it... covering up that sweet flower at the bottom :-)

Without the sentiment...

I have not made a shaker card in a while and thought it was time to use up some of those bazillions of sequins I have.... also, I love a shaker card :-)

The flowers from MFT's Fancy Flowers card kit were stamped "tone on tone" onto the matching die cuts. The sentiment is from the same kit... the flag is a flag stax die.

Here's the sketch...

Here's the colors...

Thanks for stopping by!! Love when you do and appreciate all the kind words!!

Color Throwdown #426- Otterly!!

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Lori - we're playing with some soft colors and I love them!!

This week we're playing with aqua, light pink, and light blue

Okay, I love this pic and the colors are fabulous!!

Played with MFT's Birdie Brown Otters... aren't  they sweet!! Sponged the background and splattered some white Heidi Swapp color shine- then, layered MFT's Snow Drifts die-namics. Stamped those sweet Otters and lightly colored with copics. Added a few little fish for fun!!

Some inspiration...

We're thrilled to have Leigh Penner continuing as a Guest Designer with us this month.

CAS(e) this sketch- I Adore You!!

Happy Happy Monday!! I had a little time to play this WE- I play with CAS(e) this sketch a lot for my Color Throwdown posts but, always forget/get busy and don't get linked on Wednesday night... life!

For my CTD card... I chose a different design but, this WE I had a few minutes to play...

Used Altenew's new Artist Markers.... these work a bit different than copics and will need to experiment a bit more...

Here's this week's CAS(e) this sketch...

Color Throwdown #426

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Lisa- we're playing with some classic ones and I love them!!

This week we're playing with gray, kraft/tan, and red...

Okay, I love this pic and the colors are fabulous but, I was a little intimidated... at first...

Once I got over the fact I didn't have time to make a plaid background- or had a deer head stamp- or had the time to think too much... I was okay :-)

I AM a coffee lover and these stamps by Altenew were perfect for me and this challenge!! The stitched background is from one of MFT's Blueprints sets- very versatile!

Some inspiration...

Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop!!

Welcome to the Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop! We're changing it up this year- there will be two hops each month as usual and there will be opportunities to win $ to purchase Serendipity Stamps. The design team will be showing you the latest products and offering a chance for you to win some goodies from Serendipity Stamps.

You should have arrived here from Carol's blog but, if you got lost along the way I have a full list below.

Sooo... today is all about birthdays...I had a lot of fun playing with some oldies but goodies.

Here's my card...

Isn't that fun!! For my card I die cut the Cupcake die several times. Then I sponged the cupcakes with two complimentary pink colors and adhered randomly onto a white panel. To get the middle cupcake I cut the die in coral and then turned it over, traced around the outside of the die, and fussy cut to get the solid background. Added a layered Celebrate die (for several layers I die cut with white, adhere, then die cut with the gold and adhere on top. This way I don't waste all that gold paper!). Added a seam binding bow, gold bow, and pearl for a little bling!!

Looking for some awesome inspiration?

Marybeth Lopez
Julie Warner

Next up is my sweet friend  Marybeth Lopezl!!

AND... there are always prizes. One random commenter along the hop will receive a $20 gift code to the Serendipity Stamps store. You have from today until Sunday to leave your comments. Mary will announce the winner on the Serendipity Stamps blog on Monday!!

Thanks for stopping by!! Love when you do and appreciate all the kind words!!
