Color Throwdown #520

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! Hope you're having a great day!! Getting ready for Thanksgiving tomorrow (US)?! I am prepping a little myself!

It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Wandal!!

This week we're playing with kraft, geen, and dark brown/chocolate.

So, I played with some new MFT stamps and dies to create this winterwonderland scene. The backgroung was sponged with distress ink,  adding some white embossed trees once dry. I "tore" some white cardstock for these hills, sponged a little, added the die cut deer and a couple trees, then splashed with white all over.

Once you’ve finished your card or other paper-crafted project, add a direct link to your creation using the Inlinkz tool at the bottom of the Color Throwdown post. And, don’t forget to use the keyword CTD520 if you upload your project to an online gallery, or hashtag on social media with #ctd520 and/or #colorthrowdown.

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! Hope you're having a great day!!

It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by yours trulyl!!

Okay, some would say it's too early for Xmas since we haven't celebrated Thanksgiving yet (US) but.... it is time to work on the Xmas cards... or... whatever you wish, since the only requirement is to use the colors!!

This week we're playing with red, aqua, and silver.

Eeeks.... Stacy Yakula is designing for MFT. I have bought her stamps fro Purple Onion Designs (love her shop) but, the big thrill for me is having the designs and the dies!! Added a sweet BB yetti into the mix!

MFT Card challenges...

Happy Sunday Night or Monday Eve'

I had  an opportunity to "play" in the MFT card challenges this week. I don't get this opportunity a lot these days so I combined both the sketch and colors in one card.  A few weeks back, I made a comment about not having a lot of leaves in my stash ( the whole autumn thing) well, am I embarrassed or what...

I played with some alcohol ink backgrounds to make the "veins" of my leaves and even did a little "old school" stitching.

Here's the sketch and colors...

Not sure if can combine both... but, really had fun playing with this card.

Appreciate all the kind words... Hugs, Vickie

Color Throwdown #518

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! Hope you're having a great day!!

It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Loril!!

This week we're playing with slate blue, orange, brown, and white.

So I took the opportunity to play with some fun Verve goodies!! These inks needed a little love. You will also notice that my colors are a "titch" muted. I think it's the photo - IRL the colors are brighter.

Once you’ve finished your card or other paper-crafted project, add a direct link to your creation using the Inlinkz tool at the bottom of the Color Throwdown post. Serendipity Stamps- November Blog Hop #1

You should have arrived here from Marybeth Lopez blog but, if you got lost along the way I have a full list below.

So, I was still playing with Serendipity's Acorn's and Sweetgum stamp. So I created an alcohol ink background and stamped it with the image and then stamped again onto white cardstock. The result is this blended and muted color image. It was fussy cut and mounted onto layers of white cardstock. The background is a watercolored panel I created a while back... thought it worked perfect with this sweet image. The sentiment is Serendipity's Peace and Love... I masked off the "and yours".

Here's a little close up... when I photoshopped, the leaves are a little darker than IRL. The full card pic is more true to the softness of the colors.
