CTD #289- If nothing every changed....

Happy Happy Wednesday and time for the Color Throwdown. This week these wonderful colors are brought to us by Monika.

I was still in a watercoloring/stenciling mood and I also created a butterfly but, not quite as vibrant as the pic. I know you may wonder but, the butterfly was colored with the exact colors- they just came out softer. The pic doesn't show very well but, the wild wasabi base was sprinkled with glitter- a little shine IRL. The butterfly was created with MFT MPD Butterfly die-namics and the stencil is MPD for MFT Concentric Circles. Also splashed on a little Heidi Swapp gold mist.

Always believe...

Can you believe... I finally have an arm that works {at least halfway} and some extra time {long WE} and I had a chance to play in some fav challenges!!

Had a blast playing with some new Reverse Confetti... Paper Crane. Made a shaker card- adding silver sequins... who doesn't love a little bling!! Now, I started to color the crane in grays- I was taught to start with the darker color, work in, and then, go back and darken. So, after I started coloring the dark... I kinda' liked the effect- so I stopped... did add the lightest gray to tone it down a little...what do you think??

Close up...

Inspiration came from CASE study challenge, Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge "winged things", Seize the Sketch, and Curtain Call-confetti challenge. WOW... that's four-usually I'm tickled pink if I can make a card that fits two challenges!!

Hope you're having a wonderful Easter Holiday. We're enjoying a quiet one at my house! Usually the holidays are all hustle/bustle.

Thanks for stopping by!! Love when you do and appreciate all the kind words!!

CTD #288 -- hello!!

Yes... it's Wednesday and a short week....

The Color Throwdown colors and inspiration photo this week are brought to us by Melody!

Scrumptious colors...

Here's my card...

Had fun watercoloring and stenciling!! When I went away with my friends for the WE- stamping friends- there's always some enabling and inspiration going on- oh, and it's the perfect atmosphere for shopping!! The flowers and hello die are the result of an early am WPlus9 {new release} shopping spree on the iPad. Stamped MFT's MPD Distressed Background image onto watercolor paper and added some texture/dimension with SSS Falling Snow Stencil using modeling paste. The flowers and leaves were colored with ink using a watercolor brush and then spritzed with water.

WE have two Featured Star Stampers joining us this week- Happy to have you!!
