Color Throwdown #366- All is Calm....

Good Morning and Happy Hump Day!! It's time for the next set of colors for the Color Throwdown challenge. This week Joan picked the colors....

Isn't that quil gorgeous!! This week we're working with rust, aqua, and gray.

I've been loving all the non-traditional color Christmas cards out in blog land so I decided I'd try it myself.....

Love this new set by PTI. I didn't do it justice though- this card just didn't turn out like I envisioned in my head. Going to have to try it again soon. It's hard to tell in the picture but, the aqua trees and mountain tops have a little glitter too.

We're thrilled to have Michele Boyer from  Paper Cuts   - our October guest designer!!

Peace to You- Viva la Verve!!

Hey- Good Eve'!! I had a chance to make this card last evening (spent the WE with the flu bug... no fun!) for the Viva la Verve sketch week 4 using the colors from ColorQ.

Sorry still use Ott Lights and sometimes it just doesn't work well!! (especially with white- or maybe I just need to invest/work out a new system) The images are all from Verve's Peaceful Medallions- when I saw this sketch I though they would be perfect!!

And the colors from ColorQ

too cute to spook... SFYTT!

Hey... Happy Saturday!!

Are you thinking... Halloween.. we are at my house!! Snacks...they may be gone by the time Halloween is here ;)  Fun to make treats and today I was baking with a 3 year old... it was a sprinkle kind of day... lots of sprinkles on cookies and lots of sprinkles on the floor ;)  Purple icing, pink icing, blue icing.....There was a lot of washing -- bare feet and floor!! When Dad saw the mess, yes, it was a mess.... I just told him we were doing an art project :)

Anywho... here's a little card using some Reverse Confetti and the SFYTT sketch..

This RC set and confetti cuts... Too Cute To Spook is adorable!! I stamped the adorable kittie and broom onto cardstock and die cut with the confetti cuts. The kittie was colored with copics an popped up on the RC circles/scallops confetti cuts.

Color Throwdown #365- Thanks a Bunch!!

Happy Happy Wednesday!! We're halfway through the week, yeah!! It's time for the new colors and Broni picked them this week!!

They're bright and bold so I made a card to match...

The background was created by die cutting MFT's Brick Wall cover up and I used it as a stencil with black Wendy Vecchi modeling paste. For the flowers I used my Zig Clean Color brush markers to create two backgrounds on watercolor paper. Then I stamped Altenew's  Persian Motifs flowers with versamark and heat embossed with white. They were die cut with the matching dies. The sentiment is from Altenew's Label Love.  Last..... I added a little glitter all over with a glue pen.... those shoes are shimmering in that inspiration pic :)

Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog- What's New!!

Good Morning- we're starting a new month on the Serendipity Challenge blog!! This month the challenge is to use your newest product!! Easy Peasy, right!!

The image I used (which happens to be this month's Stamp of the month) is not new at Serendipity but, it is new to me!! I love this sweet image!! Wonderful--- reminds me of where I used to live (on a farm south of Chicago).

I sponged the background with distress inks adding a few clouds in the sky, then stamped the Wheel in Snow on top. Die cut Blessings three times in coordinating colors and layered. The final sentiment was adhered with foam.

We're looking for projects for any occasion featuring your never before used things. They don't have to be the newest release or latest and greatest. One item just has to be new to you.. something you may have purchased or received as a gift, but haven't gotten around to using yet !

Want to go shopping? The 50% off Stamp of the month for October is the Wheel in Snow.

Mary is also adding a free small cling stamp to every die purchase - her choice while supplies last!

Just a note:  The store now features a "wish list" so you can save your favorites!

Here's the link to the challenge with all the details. AND here's the link to the What's New page at Serendipity Stamps.

We have a special guest this month to get your mojo going! Please welcome Pam Simpson from Pam's Crafts! Pam's designs are layered and delicate and sure to make you drool!

Hello Pumpkin!!

Happy Sunday!! It sure cooled off here today... brrr... Love fall but, then comes winter :(

I made a card for a few challenges....

Used several Verve goodies on this one. Started out by die cutting the Starry die and use it as a stencil sponging with black ink. The "positive" stars were inked with black and adhered all over. Added a border using the Deco Borders. The pumpkins and sentiment are from Bountiful Harvest. Gold embossed the pumpkins,,, fussy cut the largest one and popped on top. Added a little shimmer with Heidi Swapp gold mist.

Here's a little close up of the shine...

The Viva la Verve sketch... I tweaked it a titch...

Color Throwdown # 364- Love You!!

Good Wednesday Morning!! Time for the next set of colors.... Barbara picked the colors this week!!

Yep... love them!! Not sure if I'm brave enough to wear these tennies but, they are adorable!! Actually- maybe I don't have anything that matches :)

I played with MFT's Harvest Mouse and matching die-namics. The apples in the basket are lime green... for some reason I chose too dark of colors for the leaf piles... wish I could do over (not enough time tonight) as I think the softer colors would be better!! NOW, I do LOVE this sweet mouse and that sentiment.... my grandpa used to say this to me when I was little!!

We're thrilled to announce our October guest designer is the super talented Michele Boyer from Paper Cuts !  Welcome, Michele!

Color Throwdown #363

Good Morning- Happy Wednesday!! Hope your week is going well. Today Wanda picked the colors...

pale mint green, saffron yellow, and ivory. Isn't that picture gorgeous!! I need to get me some white pumpkins this year!!

I played with Mama Elephant's Bear Hugs and matching dies. Now, my yellow and green look darker- I think I sponged too heavily- the colors I used were pistachio pudding and so saffron.

We're thrilled to announce our October guest designer is the super talented Michele Boyer from Paper Cuts !  Welcome, Michele!

We're also sad to announce this week that our most talented "collage" team member, Monika Davis has decided to step down from the team.  We know that you all will miss her wonderful creations as much as we will, and we hate to see her go!  Be sure to visit her blog, M.A.D. Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog #48 - What's New!!

Good Morning- we're starting a new month on the Serendipity Challenge blog!! This month the challenge is to use your newest product!! Easy Peasy, right!!

This image is not new at Serendipity but, it is new to me!! I just love that sweet giraffe and this sentiment. I have a friend who needs a little cheering up right now/emotional support- she has seen lots of my cards and prefers the simpler ones so, I made this for her.

We're looking for projects for any occasion featuring your never before used things. They don't have to be the newest release or latest and greatest. One item just has to be new to you.. something you may have purchased or received as a gift, but haven't gotten around to using yet !

CAS(ology)- Silly!!

Good Evening!! I have a card for the current CAS(ology) challenge- Silly!!

Here's my thinking- silliness usually always ends up with a laugh-right!! This sentiment- The Most Wasted- from Serendipity Stamps seemed perfect to me. I just did a little watercoloring with my Zig Clean Color Brush markers- stamped the sentiment on top (when it was dry) and heat embossed with clear. Backed it with pattered paper from MFT and added a few enamel dots.

Serendipity is the sponsor of CAS(ology) this week!! Make sure and check out the store!! Serendipity carries their own line of stamps/dies as well as dies from Cherry Lynn and Pretty Pink Posh.

Now, I have never played CAS(ology) as clean and simple is a little hard for me- hope this isn't toooo much!!

Serendipity Stamps October Blog Hop!!

Good Morning and welcome to this month's blog hop and new release at Serendipity Stamps!! Serendipity released three new sentiment dies, several single sentiments to go with the Blessing die, a creepy wreath die and Halloween Pops stamp set this month!!
What a great day for a visit!

You should have arrived here from Miriam's blog but, if you got lost along the way I have a full list below. I have a couple cards to show you today.

Settle in, I'll do this as quick as I can.... had a little Halloween fun!!

This card uses two images from the Halloween Pops sent. Did a little masking and copic coloring. The sentiment is from Halloween Pops, too!

This card uses the Spooky Tree die cut from Cherry Lynn (Mary carries Cherry Lynn and Pretty Pink Posh dies in her store!!) The owl is from the Halloween Pops and was colored with copics and fussy cut. I added the sentiment on the inside.

The inside....

My next card uses the Creepy Wreath die...

For this card I color washed the background and heat embossed another image from Halloween Pops. Then I die cut the middle with the Creepy Wreath and added some acetate to the back. Next, I die cut the wreath again in black and inlaid it to the base card. Added some sequins and die cuts- the Creepy Wreath die has ghosts- bats- skulls-cats- and spiders. They're all in there, just hard to see.

Last one... while I was playing with the moon-swirl-star image from Halloween Pops it came to me that this could be used for a baby card....

Fun, huh!! Another idea to get more use out of your stamps!!

Before I send you along to my sweet friend Jeanne... Of course there is a little blog candy too! One random commenter selected from the comments on all the blogs will be selected to win a $20 Gift Certificate for Serendipity Stamps. But you have to leave a comment to enter.
