Color Throwdown #436

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Lisa.

This week we're playing with green, blue, and light yellow.

Well, how delish does that dessert look! Yum!!

I pulled out my Altenew Adore You set. Love these flowers and sentiments!! Stamped the flowers and leaves using a little masking and then colored with copics. The sentiment was white embossed onto gray textured cardstock.

Some inspiration...

Color Throwdown #435

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Jodi.

This week we're playing with orange, turquoise and yellow.

How fun is that entryway!! Wish I had something like that at my house :-)

Still playing with sets that haven't seen any ink yet! I am a BIG reader- every night to be exact!! So when MFT came out with this Our Story set- of course I had to have it. I went a little bright with these colors. The patterned paper is from MFT also- new black/white pack and Proper Pinstripes pack.

Color Throwdown #434

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Amy Rohl.

This week we're playing with green, black, and gold.

Yep, perfect card and perfect colors for a St. Patty's week!!

So, I have a little Irish in my family and grew up when I was young in the Chicago area... did you know they die the river green for St. Patty's.... yes, there are a lot of Irish Catholics around Chicago!!

And, yes, I had to make one more St. Patty's card. Watercolored the background and splashed some gold paint on top. The panel was cut with a new Serendipity card die- also the shamrock. Sentiment is from a Verve set.

I have one card for you today....

Spring sprung here in the south.... until this Saturday night/Sunday morning when we got 2 inches of snow... that's right only 2 inches and.... when the sun came out it was gone before the end of the afternoon. It did look gorgeous coming down though!!

So, when I made this card I was in the spring mode. Used the new background- Swirl Cuts and die cut in white. Then I added a rounded panel with the sweet Chick with Butterfly (just so you know- the butterfly is attached to that sweet chick and I did a little surgery- yikes, I know- rarely cut up stamps but, I wanted that sweet butterfly up a little higher in the air). The images were colored with copics, added the Happy Spring sentiment, and a little twine to finish it off.

Looking for some awesome inspiration?

AND... there are always prizes. One random commentor along the hop will receive a $20 gift code to the Serendipity Stamps store. You have from today until Sunday to leave your comments. Mary will announce the winner on the Serendipity Stamps blog on Monday!!

Color Throwdown #433

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Broni.

This week we're playing with green, blue, and white.

Love that blue door with all the greenery!!

I played with MFTs Beautiful Butterflies latest kit. Added a little modeling paste inside MFTs Mini Chicken Wire stencil and set aside to dry. Meanwhile I die cut the leaves with MFTs Wild Greenery and the Butterflies were die cut and stamped with the kit. The sentiment from the kit was added last.

Color Throwdown #432

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Wanda.

This week we're playing with green, yellow, red, and aqua.

How fun is that pic!! Wish I was there right now!!

I played with some new stamps from The Ton....Shoe Wardrobe!! Isn't that sentiment fun!! I have been known to collect shoes in my life. When my youngest was little and had her "100" day at school, she had to count something to 100 at home.... "turns red" it was my shoes!! Now that we are a few years later, I don't have as many- can't do the heels but, I may have a few pairs of sandals (beach, ya know!!)

You should have arrived here from Julie's blog but, if you got lost along the way I have a full list below.

I have a couple of cards for you today...

My first card uses this month's Stamp of the Month... Marble Feathers Background. I stamped the image with versamark and heat embossed with white. Next I sponged the background in aquas- darker on the bottom and going light towards the top. Since I didn't want to totally cover up the background, I stamped the May Good Bless You sentiment (isn't that a wonderful sentiment!!) on vellum with versamark and heat embossed it in white as well. Sorry the pic isn't the greatest- I tried a lot!!

Now, we have a little Irish in the family so I couldn't let the month go without doing a St. Patty's Day card. I die cut the Shamrock die several times in white (leaving the pieces in the die) and adhered randomly onto a white panel. I stamped the Happy St. Patty's Day sentiment onto an oval die and stitched die with Cheery Lynn dies (Serendipity sells these in the store) and adhered with foam dots for dimension. Layered on some patterned paper and added a crinkly seam binding bow to finish it off.
