Color Throwdown #458

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Lynn!!

This week we're playing with green, red, and yellow.

YIKES- fall is coming... actually with the weather here in North Carolina... it is FALL. I am enjoying the cooler temps but, that means winter is coming soon!? So I wanted to "go along" with the inspiration photo and pulled out Teachers Count and coordinating dies from Verve. The little stars and alphabet are from Verve's Take Note. Added some glossy accents to make the apples shine.

Some inspiration...

Altenew Inspiration- relax!!

Happy Tuesday evening!! I had a little time to stamp this WE and straighten up my space... finding all kinds of goodies that I have purchased over the last few months!! Christmas in August- right?

I have never played in the Altenew inspiration challenge but, I had time and loved these colors!!

H

Okay, so I love the beach and normally not loving the jellyfish but, these images from Altenew are just gorgeous. They look ethereal without the sting :-) I used Painted Jellyfish and the coordinating dies.

Hoping you're having a great week!!

Hugs, Vickie!!

This week we're playing with pink, gray, and yellow.

I brought out some new Neat and Tangled stamps for this card. I have to say my "pink" is a bit red here...sorry... I should have gone with more rose colored copics.

Color Throwdown #456

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Lisa!!

This week we're playing with lime green, hot pink, and yellow.

I brought out my Peony Bouquet and matching dies from Altenew. I invested in some of the new TH Distress Oxide inks. The colors come out a little different- my yellow is a bit dark. The sentiment is from Altenew's You're Always in My Heart and Halftone Heart dies.

Color Throwdown #455

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Jodi!!

This week we're playing with aqua, light pink, lavender, and white.

So I had a chance to play with another new die and stamp set- Essentials by Ellen. The Mermaid's Tail set was stamped with pink onto watercolor cardstock and die cut with the coordinating die. Prior to adding it to the background panel, I stamped some "seaweeds" using the Otter Ware set (got carried away with the sequins but, I think you can see them popping out a little). The tail was popped up with dimensionals. Added a stitched stax rectangle and sentiment to finish it off.

Some inspiration...

Verve's 10th Anni-VERVE-sary!!

Happy Sunday- hope you had a great WE!! Me, I've been a busy getting caught up at home! Trying to get everything in order as I'm heading to Jamaica next WE with a few friends- 14 to be exact- good times and boy, do I need the break!! My youngest will be holding down the fort while I'm gone- hope she doesn't enjoy the "break" too much :-)

Anyway- as the title suggests- Verve is 10 years old this month- WOW!! Congratulations Julee!!

Julee is doing a special VivalaVerve sketch challenge to celebrate.

Here's the sketch...

Here's my card...

I had some fun playing with papers from Altenew's Reflections scrapbook kit and Verve's Butterfly Grace stamps and Graceful Butterflies dies. I think everything is on sale for the celebration so, maybe you need to do a little shopping ?!?

Hoping you have a great week!!

Color Throwdown #454

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Amy Rohl!!

This week we're playing with green, kraft, and white.

I've been doing a little traveling lately and work has been crazy.... but, I did find some time to play with my new Verve!! The background was sponged using Altenew's Watercolor stencil- over that I used an MFT stencil and embossing paste. Once that was dry I stamped the Verve sentiment using my trusty MISTI so I could get a good dark sentiment. Added a couple strips of paper with some stitching to ground those sweet mugs. Verve- Happiness Is, Happiness in a Cup dies, and sentiment from Always Time.

Some inspiration...

Ok... so even for a "guy card" I was thinking it was missing something so I added a few enamel dots... not sure which one I like best :-)

For this card, I stamped the Rowboat and Dock cling set. The image was stamped onto PTI Select white cardstock and colored with copics. I added the sentiment from the same set.

On the inside, I stamped the Simply Nothing sentiment.

A little close up of the sentiment...dontcha' just love hanging out on boats!!
