Top Dog Dies- Spring!!

Good Morning and Happy Friday!! This is my weekly Top Dog Dies post and we are thinking Spring!! So what do you think of when you hear the word Spring.... flowers, warmth, sunshine

One of the things that I think of are soft spring colors and the birds chirping!!

So I created a fairly clean card highlighting those things. The card base was created using Top Dog Dies Signature Antique die. I cut two, scored a line on the base towards the top, and adhered with sticky tape. The papers are Heidi Swapp's Dreamy and they were die cut using the same Signature Authentique die. The bird is from Top Dog Dies Little Birds die set. On the close up you will the tiny dots that outline the image... LOVE!! To finish off the Waltzingmouse sentiment was heat embossed with white and I added a couple gold glitter enamel dots and one with color.

Here's a close up of that sweet bird!!

Don't forget Top Dog Dies just released 6 new dies.... go check them out HERE.

Color Throwdown #327- Love you to pieces!!

Good Morning... it's time for another Color Throwdown challenge. Wanda is bringing us the colors this week.... and there's purple :) Honestly, if you've ever stopped by my blog, you would know that "purple" just throws me for a loop! I think these girls have forced helped me get over that!!

I loved the whole mosaic thing going on and tried to recreate that with my card.

My colors are a little bit darker. Used Lil Inkers Stitched Hearts and the sentiment is from Piece of Me. Stamped the background with SU's Gorgeous Grunge to add a little sumthin'- I so struggle with totally white backgrounds... it's an affliction I tell ya'!!

We’re also joined by January’s guest designer: Bonnie Sharp.  Bonnie- Loved having you this month!!

Top Dog Dies- LOVE!!

Happy, Happy Friday!! Time to show some Top Dog Dies. I'm still playing with the Heart Album Mini Finisher dies and Vintage Alphabet dies. This week I made a couple of 4 x 4 note cards. This size is perfect as a gift card or tucked into a lunch box for someone special.

I fell in love with this sweet envelope die and tiny heart. There are so many different dies in the Heart Album Finishers die set... perfect to use on their own. On this one I finished the inside as you can see above.

Aren't those letters fabulous... love the font.

Another CAS card using the same colors and the Vintage Alphabet die.

BTW.... Top Dog Dies just released 6 new dies.... you can see them HERE. Elephants, feathers, birds, borders, tags, and a background die for the already released corset die. I'll be posting some cards over the next few days using the new dies... so, stop back by!!

Thanks for stopping by!! Love when you do and appreciate all the kind words!!

Color Throwdown # 326- Hip Hip Hooray!!

Happy, Happy Wednesday... it's hump day and I'm hoping it goes by fast, really, really fast!! The first two days have been exceptionally interesting :)

This week's colors are brought to you by yours truly!! I was dreaming of spring in January :)

I need a wall for these...

My original idea was beautiful flowers and vases... but, this is what I created.

Thought the colors would work well for a bright Birthday card and wanted to play with this PTI Phrase Play set. Added a little washi tape, cheesecloth, and enamel dots.

Before you head off to create, here’s some inspiration from our talented team to get you started.

Top Dog Dies Friday Post...Valentine's!!

TGIF!!!! Yes... friday makes this working girl happy... not that I don't love my job but,...

AND... it's my weekly post using Top Dog Dies... Valentine's is on!!

Had a lot of fun making a sweet Heart Mini Album using a bunch of goodies from Top Dog Dies.

Sweet!! I used the Heart Mini Album die, Heart Doily die, and Heart Mini Album Finishers set, along with some Authentique papers and extras. I have several pics...

Front and center cover...

Playing with the Heart Album die and Heart Mini Album Finishers dies from Top Dog Dies. Thinking that I will give it to Darrell for his mom (Grammie) and he can add pics of the little one (my youngest daughter's beau's little girl). She's a sweetie!! She spied the jet ski in the garage the other day- 2 1/2... big jet ski but, asked me is she could go for a ride. My answer... "Yes,.. missy someone will take you for a ride but, it has to get warmer and we need to go to the lake".... totally not intimidated by the size!

Close up....

For each page/s of the mini album... I decorated one side and left the other side to scrap that picture.

 The next pages...

Here's the end..

Isn't the doily die gorgeous... and all the elements in the Finishers die set are perfect for adding a little something!!

TOP DOG Dies!!

Well, life has been a little crazy with the holidays and then, getting back in to the swing of work so.....

I have a bit of exciting news!!! I am on the DT for Top Dog Dies spring term. And today is my first official post!!

We are showcasing Valentine's this month and I had the pleasure to play with some fabulous dies!! For my Valentine's card I created a traditional girly/frilly one. Pretty much "true to form" for me.

A close up of the the sweet Heart border die (save those little hearts to use as confetti with a shaker card- just sayin') along with the detail on the Heart doily die, and Heart Mini Album Finishers die set.

Another close up to see the detail of the Heart Doily die. I used it for a Valentines card but, it could be used for so much more..... wedding, birthday, anniversary...

Full view.

Click on the highlighted words for quick links to the dies I used and click here to check out the Top Dog Dies store. There are some sales going on as well as a chance to win a prize from Little B's.

I'll be posting a little sumthin' every Friday so, remember to stop back by.

Thanks for stopping by!! Love when you do and appreciate all the kind words!!

Happy Birthday!!

Happy Friday eve'!! Finally hoping things have settled down here in my neck of the woods and will be able to spend a little more time creating!!

I did get a chance to stamp this weekend and this is one of the cards I created.

I used Altenew's Painted Butterflies. Stamped the images onto watercolor cardstock, heat embossed with silver, and watercolored with SU's crumbcake. Repeated the process for two of the images and "fussy" cut to pop on top for a little dimension. The sentiment is from Altenew's Label Love. Misted and flicked a little with Heidi Swapp's Tinsel Color Shine.

Played with the colors for the Curtain Call challenge... no winter scene.. this southern girl is dreaming of sun and flip flops :)

I also played in Darnell's NBUS challenge (never been used schtuff)- golly I could probably do this for weeks with everything I have bought in the last few months and no time to play!!

Thanks for stopping by!! Love when you do and appreciate all the kind words!!

Color Throwdown #324 --- Warm Wishes!!

Happy, Happy Wednesday!! We're back starting the New Year at the Color Throwdown Challenge. Monika is starting us off with a fabulous color palette!

Looks cold (to me) but, love those colors!! Ha... they say our low temp tonight will be 11 or 12 degrees (dang, that's cold for a southern girl!!)

As soon as I saw these colors, I knew I wanted to use Avery Elle's Let It Snow. Added some snow with modeling paste and Simon Says Stamps Falling Snow stencil. The hills were created with a Mama Elephant Borders die.

Before you head off to create, here’s some inspiration from our talented team to get you started. We’re also joined by January’s guest designer: Bonnie Sharp and this week’s Guest Star Stamper: Jenny Engelke
