Color Throwdown #508

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! Hope you're having a great day!!

It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Lynn!!

This week we're playing with green, purple, yellow, and red! Fun colors!! Yep, there's that purple again, lol!!

So these colors reminded me of school- although I did have a grand that started first grade yesterday- so maybe my mind was on school :-)

I have very little school themed stamps but, I fell in love with this older set from Reverse Confetti, and honestly, I think this is the first time I have used it. Isn't that worm the cutest... and the ruler and pencil... sweet!!

Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop August- 2

It's time for the Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop! We're changing it up this year- there will be two hops each month as usual and there will be opportunities to win $ to purchase Serendipity Stamps. The design team will be showing you the latest products and offering a chance for you to win some goodies from Serendipity Stamps.

You should have arrived here from Marybeth Lopez blog but, if you got lost along the way I have a full list below.

So I played with the Oak Leaf die set. A while back I was playing with some alcohol inks in warm colors and this sheet was one of the results. As I was thinking about my card for this hop-I thought it would be perfect for some beautiful leaves

Here's a little close up of the leaves. Aren't they gorgeous and alcohol inks are fun to play with!! The oval was die cut with a Cherry Lynn die and I used Serendipity's Woodgrain Background stamp for the inner circle (tone on tone stamping). I added some twine and buttons for a little something. The Autumn die was cut twice and adhered a little offset for some color.

 Looking for some awesome inspiration?

Other deals....

The Sympathy die is the 50% off die of the month.

As well, There is a clearance sale on select dies – 20% off.   They will be listed under the “Specials” tab

AND... there are always prizes. One random comment along the hop will receive a $20 gift code to the Serendipity Stamps store. You have from today until Sunday to leave your comments. Mary will announce the winner on the Serendipity Stamps blog on Monday!!

Have a great day... hugs, Vickie!!

Serendipity Stamps- August Blog Hop #!

I'm late, I'm late for a very important date!! So I took some time off and got my days all mixed up!! When I woke up this am (looking at my phone) I realized it was Wednesday but, this girl had to get to work so here I am just a "titch" behind!!

So, I played with this month's 50% off image...Acorns and Sweetgum

When I started this card, I stamped the image for a background onto watercolor paper and heat embossed with gold. Then, I colored the image with my zigs. Yes, acorns and leaves can be different colors (in my world anywho!) Then,  decided to spritz with water and the colors ran- not exactly what I was going for :) It is pretty IRL.

Here's a little close up of the sentiment. I die cut the Thanks in the pink card stock as well as gold and layered them slightly offset. The sentiment was adhered with foam dots for dimension.

 Looking for some awesome inspiration?

Other deals....

The Sympathy die is the 50% off die of the month- I had another card in the works using these two specials (stamp and die) but, since I was a little off on the day of the week- you'll see that next time :)

Color Throwdown #504

Good Morning Evening- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! I took some time off and my days got a titch mixed up!! When I woke up this am and realized it was Wednesday- well, this girl had to go to work so..... here's my late post!!

It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Amy Rohl!!

This week we're playing with black, copper, and white! So fun and such an elegant combination of colors!!

I pulled out some Altenew goodies for my card. The background was created with a graduated stripes image- covered in versamark randomly, stamped on PTI select white card stock and heat embossed with copper. The leaves were die cut with vellum- two stamped with the coordinating outline leaf and two embossed in copper with the solid image. Added a sentiment that was fussy cut.

Once you’ve finished your card or other paper-crafted project, add a direct link to your creation using the Inlinkz tool at the bottom of the Color Throwdown post. And, don’t forget to use the keyword CTD504 if you upload your project to an online gallery, or hashtag on social media with #ctd504 and/or #colorthrowdown.
