Color Throwdown #303- Sending Sunshine!!

Welcome to Color Throwdown #303. Broni picked the colors and inspiration pic this week... aren't they lovely colors and those popsicles look delish!!

Me- So Happy to be back stampin' and feeling well! Went on a vacation to the beach (wonderful) and got sick with a nasty bug that left me feeling bad for over a week!

I played with the new to me PTI Doodlie Do set... in love. The leaf outline was stamped with garden green and "haphazardly or half colored" with copics to match the lucky limeade and cool caribbean. Both the flowers and leaves were fussy cut and popped up for a little dimension. The pic doesn't show clearly but, the bottom poppy parade cardstock was embossed with PTI's linen impression plate.

The layout was inspired by Seize the Sketch.

Serendipity Stamps and The Twinery Blog Hop

Hey- Happy Tuesday! Welcome to the second day of the Serendipity Stamps and The Twinery Blog Hop!!
You should have arrived here from Rebecca's blog.... if you just happened by, start at the beginning via Serendipity Stamps blog or The Twinery blog (links below).

Both companies Design Teams are providing you with some inspiration using Serendipity Stamps images and/or dies and The Twinery Twine! Just check out the company blogs each day!

I have a couple cards to share with you today!!

For my first card I "weaved" a little basket with the Lilac solid twine and added some Serendipity Wildflowers! The flowers were stamped twice on XPress It Blending cardstock- the "full" image was colored with copics and fussy cut. For the second image, I selectively colored a few of the flowers with copics, fussy cut, and popped on top for a little dimension.

The inside... super sweet sentiment from Serendipity stamps..... There Are Only Two Ways

For my second card I had fun making "twine" balloons! The balloons were created using Honeydew and Strawberry striped twine. Added the "Happy" die cut and white embossed the Birthday sentiment from Serendipity Stamps. Loving Serendipity's word dies (actually I need to branch out, I seem to be hooked on this Happy, LOL!)

A little MFT shimmer mist and enamel dots to finish!

AND... of course there are prizes!!

Mary at Serendipity stamps is offering a $25 GC... just leave a comment as you hop along for a chance to win. AND... another $25 GC to someone who "likes" Serendipity Stamps on facebook- you must leave a comment to win. AND... Serendipity has a 20% off all items in the "Garden" category through August 3.

The Twinery is offering a solid sampler pack to one lucky commenter too!

The next stop on the hop is Stacey... enjoy!!

SSCB #33- Twine!

Good Morning and Happy Wednesday!! Welcome to the next installment of the this month's challenge at Serendipity Stamps!

This month we are playing with twine!! Our sponsor this month is  The Twinery... in love!!

The DT continue to have an extra challenge- last time we focused on "hot" so... now, it's all about  "cool"....lemonade, cool colors, outdoor activities... boats... water... etc.  I decided to play with this sweet image.... Reminds me of when I was young and the sprinkler was running{(not as expensive as it is now..water bill :)} We played in bathing suits or summer clothes and ran through the sprinkler until we were soaking wet!! Good Times!!

Stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black onto watercolor cardstock and heat embossed with clear. Out came the waterbrush to add color. Made a subtle cloud background using MFT cloud dies sponging with soft sky. The sun uses the outer layer from the Sunflower diecut {Julie inspired me} Added a clear button strung with twine from The Twinery

Jen Cuthbertson - who designs for The Twinery is joining us again.

Color Throwdown #299- Wish Big!!

Happy Wednesday and time for another Color combo at CTD!! This week the colors were chosen by Tammy and I LOVE them!!

Look at all that goodness!!

I had some fun coloring a Mo Manning image that I won at my sweet friend Kim O'Connell's blog. I have had this image for forever!! The background was stamped with an image from Verve's Bountiful Backgrounds (love this set soo much- actually had to replace it recently) using versamark. The sentiment is from Verve's Birthday Phrases.

Our July Guest Designer is Diane Jaquay from Peaceful Lane.

This week's Guest Star Stamper is Vicki Dutchert - All I Do is Stamp.

So happy to have you both playing with us!!

Good Morning and Happy Wednesday!! Welcome to the next challenge at Serendipity Stamps!

This month we are playing with twine!!

Our Sponsor this month is The Twinery and the winner will receive a free sampler pack of twine.... Whoo Hooo!!
Here's my card....

As always, the DT are given a little extra challenge- HOT (hot outside, hot glue, hot trends, hot colors....) I chose to ink up and color this Geranium in red (hot color). Stamped it twice on XPress It Blending cardstock and colored with copics. Fussy cut some leaves and flowers from one of the images and popped them on top of the original image for a little dimension. Look closely at a few of the flower centers- yep, that's twine from The Twinery!! The border is Serendipity's Floral Frame and Embelishments- it cuts beautifully!!
