Holiday Cheer!!

Happy New Year's Eve!! I'm just hanging out at home... and happy!! Had a little time to do some stamping today...

Played with Verve's Jolly Jingles set. Stamped a bunch of the stockings onto watercolor cardstock with memento tuxedo black and heat embossed with clear. Then I played with my Zig brushes!! Yes, it's bright!! Added some black rhinestones and black splatters. Had to add some twine... I'm still a "bow" kind of girl :-)

Played with the Verve December Diva Challenge...

And did my own twist on the CAS(e) this sketch challenge...

Thanks for stopping by!! Love when you do and appreciate all the kind words!!

Color Throwdown #422- Let it Snow!!

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Barbara- we're playing with some bright ones and I love them!!

This week we're playing with navy, hot pink, orange, and turquoise...

Played with some new images and dies from the latest Verve release. Love those graphic/contemporary trees and the sweet snowman. Went with black and white and pops of Barbara's colors. Love the effect.

Ha... I laugh or maybe "shudder" at that sentiment after my phone call with my sweet sis! Hubs and I are gong to IN next weekend to celebrate Christmas with my family- heard tonight they are calling for 10-12 inches of snow on Tuesday and Wednesday- could be an interesting drive home!! We grew up with the weather (many moons ago) but, traveling in it.... Wish me luck!!!!

Color Throwdown #420!!

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Wanda- we're playing with light blue, sage green, yellow, and gray.

Here's my card...

These "wild eyed" penguins made me smile!! Used a few new products from MFT... Snow Drift di-namics and the Chill Wishes stamp set/matching die-namics. Sponged some light blue on a background adding random glitter for that sparkly snow. Not clear in this picture but, totally fun!! Overlaid this piece with the Snow Drift die-namics using PTI white cardstock. Stamped several penguins and trees from Chill Wishes, colored loosely with copics and die cut with the matching MFT die-namics to create my soft winter scene. Love that sentiment!!

Some inspiration...

Color Throwdown #419!!

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by yours truly- we're playing with red, green, and orange.

Ha... this girl's been dreaming about the Thanksgiving Holiday Celebrations... I need a little break :-)

So, I used  some new to me... Holiday Greens from PTI!! I really should have a glass of something, something instead :-) Created a little collage stamping the greens in my requested colors, layering to the side after I added a few red and orange "dots" in the background. Finished off with a layered sentiment die from PTI.

Some inspiration...

We're thrilled to have Marisa Ritzen.... Rosemary Reflections as our guest designer for the month of November!

Color Throwdown # 418

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Lynn- we're playing with copper, teal, rust, and orange.

Isn't that inspiration pic wonderful.... fall is here!!

I decided to play with Verve's Potter's Clay and Pottery dies. Die cut the pots and then swiped some onto the pots- two completely and one just on the right side. Next I colored the one pot with a teal colored copic- and then, added some texture by randomly applying versamark and heat embossing with copper embossing powder. For the background I stamped the sentiment blending orange and rust inks onto a PTI select card stock panel. Added some more texture with modeling past and MFTs concentric circle stencil. Layered it all up and added a little twine

Some inspiration...

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Lynn- we're playing with orange, lime green, and light blue/aqua.

Fun pic... wishing I had a truck image to fill with pumpkins!!

Instead I played with these adorable Yettis from MFT- Birdie Brown. That girl is so clever. Die cut the mountains (also MFT) adding a little glitter to the tops. Stamped and die cut the yettis adding a little coloring. The orange and lime green were added for a pop of color!!

Some inspiration...
