I'm baackkk!!

Now, that may not be immensely important to ya'all but, I'm happy not to be dealing with difficult issues!! Worked on this card last weekend and was done early in the week but, life has a habit of getting in the way.... or maybe I just have bad luck. Live on a corner lot that is fairly secluded... and someone(s) did a B & E last week {do I sound like I understand this stuff, LOL}!! We have a security system and worked well--only made it into the living room {the police were on their way before I even got the call it had happened!!}. All the Xmas presents were at my daughters so, they just got a few things {like a big plasma TV, Wii, computerized telescope etc.} and did some damage to the walls and back door. I say "some" but, honestly my DH had exellent deadbolts/security and they had to kick the back door enough to tear up the frame/studs etc. on the inside--we have found out a few days of construction will fix everything. Didn't tear up some antiques and that was good... not replaceable.

Anyway... enough of the whining. Card is using Stacey's Curtain Call Color Challenge to use always artichoke, basic gray, real red, and white. Sketch is Lynda's from the weekly challenges in the Verve forum on SCS and inspiration is Xmas!!

The colors--
TFL!! Photo is showing up a little blurry...sorry!!

Very pretty, Vickie! I love the dp you used and the ruffled ribbon. Sorry to hear about your break-in! Thank goodness no one was hurt and the police responded quickly. I hope things start looking up for you!

OMG...so sorry to hear someone broke into your house! It makes me sick to hear of people violating others' property! My parents had their home broken into years ago and my dad's coin collection was stolen...years and years of collecting and they took the entire safe! With the economy still being so bad, we can probably look for more of this kind of thing. Glad you were able to get back to stamping...it's a great therapy for me and hope it is for you, too!

Oh my, Vickie!! SO glad you had a good alarm system and they were held at bay to a certain extent. Makes me so mad when this happens, especially the fact that so many of them never get caught and if they do, there isn't much of a penalty. At least the antiques were safe and the goods they took can be replaced (((hugs)))!!

Glad you got to do some therapy stamping. Love who you used Stacey's colours and the Sketch. Hope things settle down and life returns to normal soon.

Wow Vickie...that is SO scary! I would have been terrified! What a terrible thing to have happen!
On a lighter note, your card is down right elegant! I adore those shades of red and green and that sentiment is just so classy!
Glad to have you back and I hope the police catch those scoundrels...and throw the book at 'em!
