Back to stamping and blogging....{sigh, feels good}!! This card is for
Verve's monthly Diva challenge on SCS, you can get all the deets
here. You have until 9pm Mountain Time tonight to submit. Anyway, I started on a card using grays, vanillas and thinking pink or coral and just couldn't finish it. So, last night I started again. This time I went with my fav color {red} and black/white combo. I used the watercolor re-inker technique, stamping the outline flowers from
Verve's Great Friends using all three {the smallest twice} onto watercolor paper with memento tuxedo black and heat embossed with clear. Misted all the flowers and added some ink with a watercolor brush to the inside {it just spreads when you do this}. Layered all the flowers and added stickles to the outer leaves {not sure I didn't use too much?}, pearls in the center to finish off. The black background was stamped with the leaves from this set in versamark and heat embossed with clear. The gorgeous lace is from Wild Orchid Crafts {honestly you need to check out this website, gorgeous lace, flowers and more}. Crinkled white seam binding and Jenni Bowlin pins... ta da!!
Lots of clouds today so it was hard to get a good pic.
Here's a closer look at the flower, seam binding, stickpin combo..
And... I finished off the inside using some ribbon, the smallest outline flower, and a sentiment from Verve's Love Story. Spring is the time for Weddings!!
TFL!! Hope your having a great Sunday!!

Great minds think alike. I did B & W & Red too :) Love that Verve flower and the embossed BG on the black. Well done getting your Diva On :)
Love this, Vickie! That red just pops right out at you! Gorgeous stick pins and yay you...finishing off the inside! I NEVER do that! Mainly because they go into a shoe box when I'm done with them...Jeez...I'm so ashamed of myself for doing that! Anyway, I'm sure that your card is going to find it's way into a gracious home. Lovely indeed!
