You Are Amazing!!

Quick post tonite with a card I made for the CASE study challenge this week using the CR84FN colors (getting in a couple days early-for once!!)

Stamped some floral images from The Crafts Meow Flower Garden onto kraft and added the sentiment from The Crafts Meow Telegram. Background was stamped with an old SU background-sanded. Added leaves in early espresso and kraft and a coral bird using the SU bird punch (have had some of these things for eons and haven't used- don't tell hubs 'cause he's been told I need it all :)) Added a little dimension with my CB swiss dots folder on the birdie. Pretty CAS for me and monochromatic--- both styles I struggle with!! When I look at all the fabulous folks that do CAS there is such a balance and impact.... well creating is learning, right!!

Happy Monday and hope you're off to a good start to the week!! My weekend was way busy and I'm still trying to catch up!!

ISSC26- YOU'RE so AMAZING!!

Phew... made it through another week of the heat and medical tribulations!! Ohh... it's not that bad... I need to look on the happy side... no trips to doctors since last Saturday AND it's Friday!!

Friday morn' brings another I Spy Sketch Challenge. This is the sketch challenge where we come looking for YOUR cards for inspiration!! ISSC26 is from Therese Calvird and is based on this card.  Don't you love how striking that poppy is!!

I veered a little- switched things up (flowers for the background and neutral strip) and actually this is my second attempt!

Flowers are from Verve's Bloom & Grow and sentiment if from Amazing Wishes. Used the colors from the Play Date Cafe this week. Vertical blue strip was dry embossed with a CB folder swiss dots. Think I will always love large and small dot dry embossing!!

Here's the sketch....

WMS- Love Lives Here!!

This week Tosh has created the sketch for WMS. It's a keeper- fun diagonal- just wish I remembered that there was a horizontal layer with a bow...'cause I did a diagonal layer, layer with a bow! We have a little 'bit o' liberty, right?

Royal Mail arrived at my house and one of the sets I acquired had this adorable cottage!! Appropriately called "Cottage Home". Stamped on XPress It Blending cardstock and colored with copics. Fussy cut it out and struggled a little with the background.. settled on the spellbinders labels 4 and matching WMS stamps- Very Vintage Labels No. 4. Added some lace and seam binding with bow from the Ribbon Carousel topped with a tag using MFT's tag die-namics, button, and twine.

Tosh's sketch

You have until tomorrow at noon to create a little something using the sketch AND you could win a WMS stamp of your choice for participating.

I have been tooling around in the car with the family... my hubs is a bit "gimpy" right now- with the surgery he is not the best long distance driver (right arm in sling) attending the family reunion in Indy- taking the youngest to urgent care-strep- yes, the day after we arrived- yes, exposed all and hoping I don't hear that anyone has a bug!!

Thanks for stopping by!! Appreciate all the kind words!!

I pulled out Verve's Text Objects for this card. Stamped eight little ships onto XPress It blending cardstock, colored with copics, and cut out. The sentiment was stamped on white and cut out. Background paper is from Simple Stories Summer Fresh and all other paper is SU.

Here's the sketch

you're the bee's knees

Does that sentiment just make you smile!! It's from WMS Compact Sentiments. There are some fabulous sentiments (not to mention the fun fonts) in this set and I paired it up with a older and classic "go to" set Holiday Label No. 14 paired up with the matching nestabilitie die!!

Some new Authentique papers arrived "Carefree" and I'm a bit partial to bright colors... and those "bees" ... the rest was history... HAD to use this sentiment!!

Ms. Sandie's sketch...

Layout is using this weeks'  Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge... there's still time... you have until Friday at noon... all the details HERE.  BTW... there is an opportunity to WIN a WMS... doesn't get any better than that!

Details: Moved the button to the lower left but, it's a little more balanced that way!! Hope you're having a wonderful week. Me... I'm on my way to the dry, parched, hot, humid Midwest but, going to see a lot of my family and thoroughly excited!!

WMS BLOG PARTAY!!

It's the 17th and that means....
Finally able to post my card for the Waltzingmouse Blog Waltz!! This month is all about THE GREAT OUTDOORS!! And... I had to use one of my new stamps... Half Pint Heroines!! Adore this set... just check out all the sentiments... a person could fall in love with just the sentiments in this set, let alone the images!!

My computer crashed and honestly, it's a project getting everything re-installed. Thinking I might have enough "steam" coming out my ears to keep this balloon in the air, LOL!! Nothing is the same as it was (pre-crash).

I live in Charlotte, NC... about 45 mins. south of Statesville and they have an annual Hot Air balloon festival. The festival isn't until the fall but.... I HAD to ink up this set!! Did a bunch of paper piecing with MME's Ms. Caroline Dolled Up papers, colored one of the girl images with copics and popped her up--popped her locks twice so they would be blowing in the wind!! The clouds are another image from this set... love the whimsical look! Added some stitching and seam binding from the Ribbon Carousel to finish it off.

Even with the steam... I am so thankful to be back up and able to blog....ya' know I was getting a little edgy!!

Thanks for stopping by!! Appreciate all the kind words!!

Have a great week, I'm leaving shortly for a family reunion in Indianapolis (Indy) and it is so dry there... read today that a neighboring lake in Noblesville (boats sitting on cracked dirt) is being diverted to supply water to Indy....another guy painted his yard green as he was tired of looking at brown crunchy stuff... unusual weather!!

GEE THANKS!!

Y'all are real Wing Dingers!!

My last card as a Waltzingmouse Guest Mischief Maker but, not my last Waltzingmouse card!! Thanks to Claire for her generosity, Lynn for helping me along, and Anya for her patience!! Another Big Thanks to the Mischief Makers, WMS DT, and WMS addicts who have been so sweet! HA... do I sound like I'm accepting an Oscar....geesh!!

This week we have another sketch by Ms. Teresa and it's a fabulous one. Flipped the sketch 180... just twist your head like Linda Blair in the orginal exorcist (she did 180's instead of 360's... right?)!! Back in the Saddle and Way Out West arrived... YEE HAW!! Papers are from October Afternoon Sasparilla. Background woodgrain was stamped with Way Out West- sentiment is from Back in the Saddle. Added some burlap, rope loop with jute, and the 3D stars. The stars are a case from Tosha Leydendeker and she has a link on her blog but, for the life of me I couldn't find it the other day, so, I did my own google search... here's the link... easy peasy!

And... how adorable is this
Yes... that' a Waltzingmouse!!!

Here's Teresa's sketch...

The link to the sketch challenge. You have until next Friday at noon... all the details on the sketch blog!!

Thinking of You and Smiling!!

Yep, yes siree.. it's Friday morn'!! That brings another I Spy Sketch Challenge. This is the sketch challenge where we come looking for YOUR cards for inspiration!! ISSC23 is based on this card from Gisèle Whittaker   (gmw1612 @ SCS). Don't you just love those critters on the dp!?!?

I FELL head over heels in love with this PTI stamp set and this sentiment. Used some Cosmo Cricket Odds & Ends dp. Played a little with the horizontal panel... mine became flag tags, seam binding bow, and twine!

Here's the sketch

Hubs is scheduled for surgery Monday am... the orthopedic doc is moving fast and we're still waiting on the confirmation from insurance. So, we'll find out tomorrow if everything is settled or if it will be a bit later in the week... good thing our jobs are a bit flexible!

Two Hearts...

One Lifetime... how sweet is that sentiment!! My oldest daughter (turning 25 in August) has a friend (since middle school) that is getting married next weekend and we'll be there "with bells on"!! She's a gorgeous redhead (my hubby called her "red" well, he still does... and when she died her hair blonde-wanting something different- I HAD to speak up!!

This card's for Alisha

Used the CR84FN colors of bright pink, tan, and neutral. My tan is a crumbcake. Finally finished a card in time!! Used some older Basic Gray Olivia paper and embossed with SU's Vintage Wallpaper folder-- using the debossed side. Sentiment is from Verve's Anniversary Birds. Added ribbon from the Ribbon Carousel and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. Added a couple of stickpins... for a more girly feel.

The Colors...

Trying to "squeeze" some stampin in- between the holiday and doc office visits! My youngest hurt her foot and was on crutches for a while and the hubs did a number on his shoulder (heard today rotator cuff tears are graded small, medium, large, and massive) well, he's on the large massive side-leaning to massive. Had a rotator cuff repair of the same shoulder 6 years ago and the doc told us today that was a small tear. It can be fixed and functional-- that's good news!!

What a life!!

Have a wonderful July 4th my US friends!

Thanks for stopping by!!
