Color Throwdown #381- Let's Talk.....

Happy, Happy Wednesday!! Glad you stopped by!! It's time for another Color Throwdown Challenge... Wanda picked the colors this week....

Aren't they sweet!!

I'm still working through all those NBUS things I've bought and hadn't had time to play with...

Went yesterday AM to get the passport... what a project... phew!! Family trip early summer and should be fun....BUT, we went to a place at the University (busy, busy) here in Charlotte... there was a Starbucks and of course, me and my youngest had to stop and get a little something for the ride home!! Made me think of MFT's LLD Cool Cup Dies and Stay Cool sentiments. Also played with the Wonky Stitched Retangles!! You can't tell in the pic- added a bit of clear wink of stella to the swirl on the top of the cup.

Tag You're It- LOVE!!

Ha... so I wanted to play again in the Tag You're It Challenge... honestly love making these little works of art!! So... I looked at the inspiration tag... and went to town... totally did something that I couldn't even explain :)

In between I was working on a couple of other projects and came full circle... (in other words I got back on track with the actual inspiration:)

Here's the inspiration....

Here's my tag...

Tag is a PTI bookmark designed by Dawn McVEY... I used a Simon Says Stamp Heart stencil with modeling paste/ adding some red paint... after that was dry I added some patterned papers, Lil Inkers stitched hearts and Reverse Confetti die cut love. The ribbons are SU.

Verve Diva Challenge and VLV sketch...

Happy Sunday! It's a little cold here in the south today... which gave me the perfect opportunity to play a little!!

I pulled out some favs- Verve's Happy Place- stamped the flower image on PTI's select white and did a little coloring with copics. Love this stuff- it's nice to have a "white" paper that you can color with copics!! The flowers were die cut with Verve's Happy Doodles die and mounted with foam onto stitched circle die cuts from Lil Inkers. The sentiments are from Verve's Inspire Hope stamped with versamark and heat embossed with white. The little flags are from Verve's Flag It Die Set.

Here's the inspriation/colors....

love!

Happy Saturday!! I have a "sweet valentine's day" card today.

I went long and skinny on this one. The hearts were die cut with Simon Says Stamp Heart Parade three times- white, red, and pink. Added some random dots to the background and then layered the hearts on top. On the red hearts I added some random white specks. The sentiment is PTI and it was die cut three times and layered for a little dimension.

My inspiration came from The Card Concept- I would say this is clean and layered...

Hope you are having a great weekend!!

Color Throwdown # 379- Hugs!!

Happy, Happy Hump Day!! It's time for another set of colors from Color Throwdown!! Lynn picked the colors this week...

We're working with pink, purple, bright pink, and gold this week!! Aren't those cookies fabulous!! It's a whole a buncha hearts.... Happy Valentine's Day (early!!) This is one of the few "heart" cards/tags I was able to make this year.... BUT... can't get by Valentine's Day without at least one and Lynn's picture is perfect!!

I used Lil Inkers stictched hearts and made a shaker card... it's been a while  and who doesn't love a little bling!! The Hugs is a PTI die cut with gold paper- layered several times. I used white for the bottom layers and added the gold die on top (saves a little on the paper). The sequin mix is from Verve.

Color Throwdown # 378- CAT-ITUDE!!

Happy, Happy Hump Day!! It's time for another set of colors from Color Throwdown!! Lori picked the colors this week...

Fun, fun, fun!! Well, I should be in full Valentine mode like the inspiration pic... But, I'm still working on inking up those stamps/dies I bought before Xmas 2015!!

For this card I used the rug from MFT's Merry Christmoose- stamped on PTI select white and colored with copics. Next, I die cut this sweet kitty and fish from MTF's Cat-itude stamps and dies and colored with copics. The sweet kitty was popped up for a little dimension. Added some black "dots/sprinkles" to offset the design a little. The kitty's ears are pink (just in case you wondered if I got that pink in there)

Serendipity Stamps Blog Challenge... Anything Goes!!

Good Morning and welcome to this month's Serendipity Stamps Challenge-- Anything Goes!! I pulled out these sweet flowers and one of my fav sentiments to make my card today!!

Here's a little close up of these sweet flowers!!

The completed card...

I LOve it!! Sorry, I shouldn't act that way- it's just seems it's been a long time since I made a card that I really liked- the holidays... busy... a bit of health issues... my mind was totally elsewhere!! Had a wonderful time coloring these sweet flowers Butterfly Garden with copics. adding a little patterned paper/twine to offset each other and that fabulous sentiment... Be Happy!!
