SSCB- My Girl!!

Welcome to the next dose of inspiration from the DT for the Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog! A new challenge is posted on the first Wednesday of every month. The design team provides inspiration twice a month (at the beginning of the challenge (the first Wednesday of the month, and at the half way point - the third Wednesday of the month) but you get the whole 4 weeks to play along! We're at the half way point for this challenge - you still have two weeks left to link up your design!

SSCB#43 - My Girl!  We're celebrating all things feminine this month!    How about a special card for Mom, your bestie, or even your daughter?  Maybe some petty flowers, or an image that captures a special memory?   Just make sure you include at least one Serendipity Stamps image on your design.
Want to go shopping?

The "stamp of the month" for May is Aprons.

Our very special guest this month is  Isha Gupta!  Her designs are always bright and beautiful and sure to make you smile!

I played with Serendipity Stamps Summer Flower Pops stamps and dies.

The flowers were stamped with Versamark onto watercolor paper and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then I colored with my Kuretake watercolors... bright, bold colors!!

The DT were given the extra challenge to make a pocket, special fold, or gift box. I made a pocket to tuck in this sweet sentiment tag. The sentiment is Serendipity's cling set... Be Kind, Be Well, Be Happy.

For more inspiration there are samples from the design team on the challenge blog or you can visit them directly and get all the details by clicking on their names below.

We're looking forward to seeing your designs.  Link them up on the original SSCB (Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog) #43  (scroll down or CLICK HERE)

Color Throwdown #341

Good Morning and welcome to this week's Color Throwdown. Lori picked the colors this week.

We are using light pink, light green, orange, and light yellow. I had a little fun sponging!

I sponged the colors onto Neenah solar white cardstock and then die cut with MFTs Horizontal Stitched strips die. The panels were adhered to a white base. Sentiment is from Reverse Confetti's Shine From Within stamped on to vellum/heat embossed with Reverse Confetti's Tag Me.

Before you head off to create, here’s some inspiration from our talented team to get you started. And, be sure to give a warm welcome to May’s guest designer, the fabulous Tenia Nelson, and this week’s Guest Star Stamper, Vikki Whittington. I'm looking forward to seeing what you create with these pretty colors!

Serendipity Stamps Blog Challenge #43- My Girl

Ready for our latest challenge?

SSCB#43 - My Girl!  We're celebrating all things feminine this month!    How about a special card for Mom, your bestie, or even your daughter?  Maybe some petty flowers, or an image that captures a special memory?   Just make sure you include at least one Serendipity Stamps image on your design.

The "stamp of the month" for May is Aprons. (see above)

Mary always gives the DT and extra challenge and this time it was to do partial die cutting.

So, I tried the Partial Die Cutting tutorial by Debby Hughes on SCS here. It took me a couple tries - I'm slow like that sometimes :) It may look like I just diecut the dragonfly and adhered-hard to get a picture since I added the paper and vellum. Check out the tutorial on SCS.

I used Serendipity Stamps Dragonfly Solid die. The die was cut twice in the pink designer papers and once with vellum. Added some gold drops with Heidi Swapp spray mist, a few pearls, and the Serendipity Stamps Mom sentiment.

For more inspiration there are samples from the design team on the challenge blog or you can visit them directly and get all the details by clicking on their names below.

Top Dog Dies Friday- be you!!

It's my regular Top Dog Dies Friday post!! This week I made something CAS and a little different or should I say....

I dragged myself away from the Antique Signature dies :)

Last year when I did a Guest Designer post for Top Dog Dies, I had the pleasure of playing with the Top Dog Dies Dog Days #2 set.

Adore this sassy poodle... have you ever owned a poodle? My family did... Winnie... when I was young. She was sassy and "in charge" I wanted to die cut her with glitter paper but, didn't have the right color pink (ugh!) so instead I decided to make my shaker card and stamped this sentiment from Verve's Words of Wisdom. Added a sparkly bow to her tail.

Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop!!

Good Morning and Welcome to the Serendipity Stamps blog hop!! We are featuring some new dies and stamps available now at Serendipity Stamps!

You should have arrived here from Miriam's blog (gorgeous, right!!) but, if you got lost along the way I have a full list below.

Oh, I had some fun playing!! I have three cards today.... shocker I only have three :)

Here's a little close up of the first one.

This card features the new Airstream Camper... inspired by one of Mary's friends and colored in traditional pink/gray....

I adore this stamp!! It reminds me of my MIL who had an Airstream Camper (silver, no pink) that she used to stay in when she spent a week each summer at an artists' retreat. She loved to paint. Every year in a small town in IN she would go to Chattaqua... park her Airstream and paint for a week with other local artists. It was one of those things she loved and looked forward to every year!! The sentiment is Serendipity's "Home is Where You Park It."

This card uses Serendipity's Hammock stamp set and Relax die. I stamped the image, colored with copics, and die cut "Relax" three times in the different colors. They were layered a little offset and popped up for dimension. Screams spring and summer to me!!

My last card uses the new Retro Rectangles set. This one is perfect for all ya'll graphic lovers. I love the retro/contemporary feel to these stamps. Stamped two of the images onto white cardstock and then, stamped the outline image in delicata gold. Added another retro rectangle in delicata gold (the smallest stamp) inside the last rectangle outline. Die cut the Enjoy stamp three times (white, aqua, and gold), layered them offset to show the colors and adhered with foam dots for dimension.

Prizes and Deals :)
Free Shipping on US orders of $15 or more.   Good Friday May 1 to Sunday May 3rd

Hop along and leave comments through May 3rd for a chance to win a $20 Gift Certificate to SS.  Mary will  announce a winner on Monday May 4th on her blog.

This month the "Stamp of the Month"  is Aprons  at 50% off

P.S. Serendipity is sponsoring CASology this week so check it out... another way to win $$ to buy some of the new stamps/dies :)

Thanks for stopping by!! Love when you do and appreciate all the kind words!!
