Color Throwdown #462

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Barbara!!

Another gorgeous fall palette!! This week we're playing with orange, rust, aqua, and green.

I played with some MFT goodies again this week. On a roll to ink up those few many stamps/dies I have that have been waiting for some love :-) I decided to leave a sentiment off the outside as it was so busy and didn't see a good spot. MFT goodies used: Gnome Me and coordinating die-namics, Blueprints 32 for the frame, Birch Tree die-namics, Inside/Out Stitched rectangles, and mini cloud stencil.

Some inspiration...

My sweet friend and old teamie is joining us this month!!!

Color Throwdown #461

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Amy Rysavy!!

Wow... aren't those leaves gorgeous!! This week we're playing with orange, purple, yellow, and green.

For this card I played with MFT's Harvest Mouse stamps and coordinating die-namics. I stamped the images onto PTI select white cardstock, colored with copics, and die cut. The inner white panel was die cut with MFT's wonky rectangles (love these!) and I added a tiny trim of orange on top and bottom. Twos sets of leaves were stamped directly onto the white panel and colored with copics. Adhered all the layers (some popped up with foam for dimension) and added a little twine for fun.

Some inspiration...

Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop- #2 September

It's time for the Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop! We're changing it up this year- there will be two hops each month as usual and there will be opportunities to win $ to purchase Serendipity Stamps. The design team will be showing you the latest products and offering a chance for you to win some goodies from Serendipity Stamps.

You should have arrived here from Julie's blog but, if you got lost along the way I have a full list below.

Today I made two cards.... the first...

For this card I played with Serendipity's new Rake which happens to be the 50% off stamp of the month. I stamped the rake onto papertreyink select white twice and colored with copics. I die cut the Fall die (from the Seasons die set) three times, layering it, and popping up with foam dots for a little dimension.

A little close up of the rake and leaves.

For this card I played with Serendipity's Leaves Reverse die. First I took a watercolor panel and using the "smooshing" technique added several Distress oxide inks to my craft mat. Then I sprayed with water and "smooshed" my white panel in the ink. Aren't the colors lovely!! I used the die to cut into a white panel and layered that on top. The sentiment is Nature Gives. To finish off it was adhered to an orange base and added a little twine.

Here's a little close up so you can see the gorgeous color from my ink smooshing.

Looking for some awesome inspiration?

AND... there are always prizes. One random comment along the hop will receive a $20 gift code to the Serendipity Stamps store. You have from today until Sunday to leave your comments. Mary will announce the winner on the Serendipity Stamps blog on Monday!!

Thanks for stopping by!! Love when you do and appreciate all the kind words!!

Have a great day... hugs, Vickie!!

my cup runneth over

Hey- Happy, Happy Sunday evening. I got to play in my room today... mostly doing DT duties but, I did have a chance to make one card..... for 3 challenges- whoa!! That's awfully unusual for me!!

Here she is...

I used several Verve sets for this one. First I stamped and die cut the cup from Happiness Is- two in blue and one die cut, stamped with versamark and heat embossed with gold. Next I created my inner white panel adding little gold strip in each opposite corner. I stamped the sentiment from Verve's Always Time in the lower right corner. Before layering my panel I stamped Verve's image from Better Together (this one is now retired-just using the edge and also in opposite corners- love those distressed dots). Since my inspiration came from the Freshly Made sketch and the image at Inspired By All the Little Things- I had to add some white flowers. These are from Verve's Bloom Brighter (die cut with the coordinating die) stamped with versamark onto vellum and heat embossed with white.

Put it all together and loving this sweet card!! I was tickled pink I had a chance to make a card for the Coffee Loving Cardmakers fall challenge!!

Thanks for stopping by!! Love when you do and appreciate all the kind words!!

Have a great day, Hugs... Vickie!!!

Color Throwdown #460

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Wanda!!

This week we're playing with blue, green, and white.

I played with some Altenew goodies. First I stamped the background with Altenew's Floral Garden images and embossed with white, then I smooshed some blue and green distress ink on my craft mat and placed the embossed panel on top. A little emboss resist. I added some more green by hand since the blue was picked up more. The frame is from the New Day card kit, butterfly from Painted butterflies, and sentiment Happy die and stamp set.
I think my colors are a little bit softer than the inspiration photo. I wrote them down but, should have gone back and looked at them again. Sorry!!

Some inspiration...

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by yours truly!!

This week we're playing with red, black, and white.

I decided to play with some Verve from the latest release, along with my fav stripe stencil from Altenew and a die cut panel from Papertreyink. I even pulled out a little seam binding :-)

Some inspiration...

ETA: I was a little confused about my month- guess August went too quickly :-)

The design team will be showing you the latest products and offering a chance for you to win some goodies from Serendipity Stamps.

You should have arrived here from Julie's blog but, if you got lost along the way I have a full list below.

Today I made two cards.... the first...

For this card I played with Serendipity's new Tree Frame and Remember to Fall and Spring sentiment. I stamped the tree frame onto papertreyink select white twice and colored both with copics (using a loose pointillism technique)- one was fussy cut and added on top with foam for dimension. I also stamped and colored a few leaves to add in the lower left- a little twine in the upper right to balance it out.

Here's a little close up so you can see the dimension.

For this card, I played with Serendipity's new Kites Reverse die. First I added distress ink to my craft mat, sprayed with water, and then smooshed my white cardstock in the ink. Next I cut the image with the die. This was layered onto a black card base for contrast. A couple thin lines and the Wish sentiment finished it off.

Here's a little close up of the die- I pulled some of the "wind lines" for a little dimension.
