Serendipity Stamps Blog Challenge- Tags!!

Welcome to this month's Serendipity Stamps Challenge! We love seeing what you make with your Serendipity Stamps and Dies. Once a month we post a new challenge with a central theme. The design team provides samples for inspiration at the beginning, and then again at the half way point of the challenge, but you get a whole month to join us!

The rules are simple... play along using at least one Serendipity Stamps image on your submission. You don't have to have a blog to play along - you can link your designs to any on line gallery. Go to the challenge blog link (above) for all the rules!!

Okay, I LOVE to make tags.... just don't think about it as often as I do making cards!!
 Here's my second tag...

Yes.... I was on a Halloween roll... I know the holiday is past but, I think that I didn't have as much time this year playing with Halloween goodies....The tag was die cut with Pretty Pink Posh's Stitched Duo 1 tag (you can get PPP dies at Serendipity Stamps) with cardstock and then again with this plaid patterned paper. I used the Owl Dies to made a dark background with solid die and for the intricate die I used orange. Then, I die cut the Boo three times, layering one on top of the other and added some gold wink of stella for a little shine!!

Color Throwdown # 373- Christmas!!

Happy Hump Day!! Christmas is coming.... are you ready!! I still have a few little errands to run!! Love the holidays spending time with family and friends... actually leaving this week to travel to see my family in Indiana- not everyone can go... my youngest will be home keeping things safe!

It's time for the Color Throwdown colors... this is the last challenge for 2015 as we're taking a little break over the holidays! Click the link for the Color Throwdown blog with all the details!!

This week there are no specific colors.... just create a Christmas card... any colors... and any creation-

Here's my card....

This is one of the Christmas sets I bought this year.... Ellen Hutson Essentials by Julie Ebersole... fun! The background was created by spritzing water onto TH watercolor cardstock and dripping some SU Cherry Cobbler ink... letting it spread. After that was dry I stamped SSS grid background with versamark and heat embossed with white. Added a Lil' Inkers stitched circle... and then Santa and sentiment on top.... FUN!! Oh.. glitter to the beard and "pom" and glaze to those shades!!

Color Throwdown #272- Christmas Cheer!!

Happy Hump Day!! Christmas is coming.... are you ready!! Love the holidays spending time with family and friends but, still have lots to do... even after a 9 hour shopping spree on Sunday- I am too old for this :)

It's time for the Color Throwdown colors...

Barbara picked the colors this week...

Isn't that bowl gorgeous!!
I struggled with these colors at first.... I was wanting to use a certain die set and just couldn't get it to work... when I gave that up I was able to go forward quickly!!

Love these bottle brushes from PTI. I wanted the stands and trees to have variegated colors in the stamping-- took several tries before I had the blends I wanted. Tied it off with some kraft and silver twine.

Serendipity Stamps Blog Challenge- Tags!!

Welcome to the first installment of this month's Serendipity Stamps Challenge! We love seeing what you make with your Serendipity Stamps and Dies. Once a month we post a new challenge with a central theme. The design team provides samples for inspiration at the beginning, and then again at the half way point of the challenge, but you get a whole month to join us!

Okay, I LOVE to make tags.... just don't think about it as often as I do making cards!!
 Here's my tag...

So a while back my sweet friend and fellow teamie Jeanne Jachna used the Creepy Wreath die to make a fall wreath and I LOVED it. So when I went to look at my stash for this challenge I thought it would be fun to make a Christmas wreath.

The tag was die cut with Pretty Pink Posh's Stitched Duo 1 tag (you can get PPP dies at Serendipity Stamps) in two colors of cardstock. Then I stamped the Holly with Frame image onto XPress It blending cardstock, colored with copics, and fussy cut to layer on top of my wreath. Added some crystal accents to make those berries stand out.

Here's a little close up!

Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop!!

Good Morning and Welcome to this month's Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop featuring the new stamps and dies just released!!

Good Morning and welcome to this month's blog hop and new release at Serendipity Stamps!! Serendipity released one new die, a sentiment, and three new images this month!!

You should have arrived here from Miriam's blog but, if you got lost along the way I have a full list below. I have a couple cards to show you today.

This card combines the new "Angel die" with the "And the Angel Said"... sentiment. Sponged a background using distress inks on a Neenah solar white CS panel in opposite corners and die cut the center with a Cherry Lynn oval die to highlight my sentiment. The Angel was die cut twice- once with gold and once with white. I overlaid the gold angel (offset) on the white to make it "stand out". Added some gold Heidi Swapp mist, gold dots, and twine. The large panels were placed at angles for a little fun.

My second card features the Snow Angel.... DO YOU REMEMBER.... making snow angels!!! I DO- just wish I was a little younger and maybe a bit more limber :) Love this image. I live in the south and we don't get a lot of snow but, growing up in the Midwest.... first snow... standing and falling back... doesn't get better than that :)

I stamped the "Snow Angel" with versamark and heat embossed with silver. Then, I used a glue pen to randomly outline parts of the angel and poured Stampendous Shabby Blue Embossing enamel over the glue and heat embossed. The Snow die was cut using Neenah Solar white leaving that sweet snowflake in place- added a little rhinestone.

Here's a close up of embossing and die/snowflake.

I am the last stop on the hop....

Of course there is a little blog candy too! One random commentor selected from the comments on all the blogs will be selected to win a $20 Gift Certificate for Serendipity Stamps. But you have to leave a comment to enter. You have until Sunday, December 6th to leave a comment. The winner will be posted on Mary's blog on Monday, December 9th.

Warm Wishes!!

Happy Saturday!! I've been "knee deep" in working on Santa gifts- I'm sure I'm not the only one.. AND... working on the grocery list for Thanksgiving!!

In between, I had a chance to play with the Curtain Call Challenge using this week's Freshly Made Sketch....

Used stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn and Avery Elle. Added some snow with the SSS Falling snow stencil and modeling paste!! The picture is not exactly clear but, the snow hills are behind the focal panel and behind the fox - to meet the sketch layout!!

Have a great Sunday!! I'm off to do a little more crafting!!

Happy Hump Day!! Next week is Thanksgiving.... are you feeling the pressure.. I AM!! Love the holidays spending time with family and friends but, still have lots to do!! Cooking and otherwise...

Tammy picked the colors this week...

Burgundy, orange, and light green...

My green may be a little darker than the pic... lightest I had was SU certainly celery... brings back memories?? The flowers are PTI's Fall Florals and I used PTIs Sentiment Splits Curved Vertical die. Viva la Verve!!

Hey, Happy Sunday!! I filled the WE doing laundry, stamping, cleaning, and working on the Christmas lists... even made a few ornaments... crafty, right?? Oh... and we did go out to eat one night with the girls and their "sweeties"!

Had some fun playing with another new set from Verve...Good Work and the coordinating Good Work Flower dies. Used the Viva la Verve week 2 sketch. Pretty straight forward copic coloring... no blending just a contrast of colors. Fabulous sentiment and love those flowers!!

Here's the sketch....

I had soo much fun playing with these colors and even tried the "no line" coloring for the first time.

Not too shabby for the first time... after a couple tries :) I messed up a couple of times... the first I just decided no striped pants....And when you really mess up... add a little sparkle, LOL!! Since I evened out the sparkle- you'll never know where the original goof happened!!
