CTD #290- I love you!!

Hey, Hey, Hey.... it's Wednesday and time for some new Color Throwdown colors. This week Tammy is bringing us a pyrex "blast from the past"- love the colors and actually still use some pyrex!!

Well, actually these could be the real thing or could be reproductions... retro is in my friends!!

My card...

I went pretty CAS here using this week's Viva la Verve sketch. The heart was die cut with Verve's Jotted Heart die- thinking I will always love this die! The sentiment is from Take Note- love the font and tiny lines in the "LOVE". The papers are We R Memory Keepers washi sheets (yes, those are washi sheets!)

This is the last installment with my sweet, sweet, friend Jeanne Jachna from A Kept Life!! So glad you played with us this month!!

And, Teresa Kline is joining us this week as the Featured Star Stamper... always love looking at her creations!!

It's a Hop- New Serendipity stamps!!

Hopefully you came from sweet Pauline's blog as I'm the next stop on the hop. AND....I've been having fun playing with some new stamps by Serendipity. I have several cards today... so, let's get to it....

For the first card (and my personal fav) I stamped these flower images (Flower Pops-1304M) onto watercolor cardstock and painted. The background uses a couple images from the set along with the Butterfly kisses stamp and Enjoy sentiment.

For this card, I stamped the Flowers & Ferns image (007G) onto XPress It blending cardstock and colored with copics. Added a doily and ribbon/button/twine combo along with a few enamel dots. The inside was stamped with the new Happy Mother's Day Sentiment (1303E).

While still playing with different mediums... I colored with gelatos onto watercolor cardstock and then used a watercolor brush to blend. The Wildflowers image (1306F) was stamped in memento tuxedo black and heat embossed with clear. Added a few gems and this sweet sentiment from Serendipity Stamps.

This card uses the new Happy Mother's Day sentiment (1303E) combined with an image from Flower Pops (1304M) stamped onto patterned paper- added a dot of black Viva Décor paint to the centers and a simple bow. I used a different color combo than I normally go for...trying to stretch myself a little :)

My last card uses a new background stamped that was released a little bit ago-- Hello Word (1301). The stamp has "hello" in different languages- pretty cool! It was stamped in versamark and heat embossed with white. Diamonds were added with modeling paste tinted with pink using MFT MPD's diamond stencil. Cut the panel on a diagonal and adhered- stamped Serendipity's Hello onto a chalkboard piece attached with a clothespin.

I know I made a few cards...now the deets!

If there's a hop there's a prize.... Woot Woot! The prize is a $20 gift code to one person who leaves a comment on ALL the blogs- see the list below!! You have until midnight Sunday 4/27 to leave comments and the winner will be posted on the Serendipity Stamps blog on Monday 4/28! Don't forget to qualify for the GC- you need to leave a comment on all the blogs!! Good Luck!!

The next stop on the hop is  sweet Anya Schrier. If you get lost along the way, you can use the link list below.

Can't wait to go see what everyone has created- these girls always inspire me- too bad I'm at work and won't get to peek until later :(

Thanks for stopping by!! Love when you do and appreciate all the kind words!!

CTD #289- If nothing every changed....

Happy Happy Wednesday and time for the Color Throwdown. This week these wonderful colors are brought to us by Monika.

I was still in a watercoloring/stenciling mood and I also created a butterfly but, not quite as vibrant as the pic. I know you may wonder but, the butterfly was colored with the exact colors- they just came out softer. The pic doesn't show very well but, the wild wasabi base was sprinkled with glitter- a little shine IRL. The butterfly was created with MFT MPD Butterfly die-namics and the stencil is MPD for MFT Concentric Circles. Also splashed on a little Heidi Swapp gold mist.

Our Featured Star Stamper joining us this week is Anita Bowden Anita Bowden, and her blog address is http://neetandcrafty.blogspot.co.uk/- Happy to have you!!

CTD #288 -- hello!!

Yes... it's Wednesday and a short week....

The Color Throwdown colors and inspiration photo this week are brought to us by Melody!

Scrumptious colors...

Here's my card...

Had fun watercoloring and stenciling!! When I went away with my friends for the WE- stamping friends- there's always some enabling and inspiration going on- oh, and it's the perfect atmosphere for shopping!! The flowers and hello die are the result of an early am WPlus9 {new release} shopping spree on the iPad. Stamped MFT's MPD Distressed Background image onto watercolor paper and added some texture/dimension with SSS Falling Snow Stencil using modeling paste. The flowers and leaves were colored with ink using a watercolor brush and then spritzed with water.

WE have two Featured Star Stampers joining us this week- Happy to have you!!

Serendipity Stamps Challenge #30- Books, Books, Books!!

It's the start of the April challenge at Serendipity Stamps!! This month we're going monochromatic... black, grey, and white. It's the "Shades of Grey" challenge!

Think wedding... sympathy... elegant birthday/thinking of you/hello... really anything goes!! The DT was asked to add a little "twist" to the challenge and make something to "pick our personality"

Originally I started with a whole different sentiment but, when I started making the card... I went in this direction (it fits me well also!!)

"Kay this first one was done with some haphazard Viva Décor dots.... I like it- a little something different for me anyway... stretching those wings I tell ya"

I LOVE to read... seriously!! When we moved to this house and I finally decided I had to give up my hardback books... space waster (house was larger- just coming to grips with the whole electronic world)... we donated 18 boxes to the local library... found the kindle :) One of the best Xmas presents Bill every gave me. I read at least every night...

So this set is perfect for my "other addiction"

Here's the inside..

I used Serendipity Stamps Books {063QCL}
