Color Throwdown #407

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! Loved all the cards last week!! This week the colors were chosen by Lori-Hope you enjoy them!! We're working with green, yellow, and teal this week.

Totally fun, right!!

So, I played with some new to me - well I have had them for a while and it was time they was a little ink :)... MFT products!! I started out by cutting a watercolor panel and painting with blue using Gansai Tambi watercolors - thinking my blue is a little on the light side?? Used a SSS stencil to add those stars with modeling paste. In the meantime I watercolored images from MFT's Out of this World and die cut with the coordinating die-namics. They were adhered on top with foam tape for dimension. Sentiment was white heat embossed on black.

Some inspiration...

Color Throwdown #406

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! Loved all the cards last week!! This week the colors were chosen by Lisa-Hope you enjoy them!! We're working with green, orange, white and light pink this week.

Isn't that cake sweet!!

So, I played with some new to me and old to me... MFT products!! I started out by cutting a white panel that I adhered some patterned paper from MFT's Country Plaid pack. Then I die cut a panel using MFT's Wonky Stitched rectangles (love these if you haven't noticed) and layered that with dimensionals on top. The images from Snuggle Bunnies were stamped onto PTI Select white cardstock and colored with copics. I created a little grass with copics. The sentiment is from the same set. Lastly, I added a few enamel dots. Yes, the light pink is there- check out those cheeks and ears :-)

Want to go shopping? The stamp of the month for August is the Lamb with Heart.

Here's my first card....

For this card I started out by taking fabric and gluing it to a panel of white cardstock... from there I stamped the Christening Gown (think it works for a baby card too) onto PTI select white cardstock and coloring with copics (using colors that blended with the fabric. Added the new Welcome die and previously released Baby die on foam dots. Each word was die cut and layered for dimension

This card uses the stamp of the month.... Lamb with Heart (this link is to the cling set). Yes, another baby card!! The image was stamped on PTI Select white cardstock and colored with copics. I die cut an oval from white cardstock and the patterned paper using Cheery Lynn dies- these are sold in the Serendipity store also!! The patterned paper was adhered to the white cardstock and adhered over the image using foam for dimension. The Sweet die was cut three times and layered for dimension as well as using micro foam dots for dimension. Added a little twine.

On the inside I stamped the Sugar and Spice sentiment. I also added a border at the bottom. The scallops were created using a Pretty Pink Posh die- Serendipity Stamps sells these also!!

My mom is coming to visit and we're going to take a little trip to FL... sunshine...maybe some heat but, she needs a break!! Looking forward to spending time time with her!!

In the meantime I have a couple cards that i worked on  a while back using some new Verve!! One I re-worked to fit the new sketch challenge and the other was for a previous sketch.

The one for the current Viva la Verve sketch...

Lots of goodies from the latest release... The background was created by stamping the smallest flower from Beautiful Things in black onto a coral piece of cardstock. The center panel is coral and then diecut several leaves from the Beautiful Flowers dies which were adhered randomly onto the panel. Added some oval panels layered with the "so" stamped in black and the "beautiful" from the Beautiful Flowers dies layered on top. A few gold sequins to finish it off.

Here's the sketch...

This card was made using a previous Viva la Verve sketch.... didn't have time to get posted. Isn't that bunny the sweetest!!  It is from Hip Hop bunnies and was die cut... stamped with the coordinating image and colored with copics. All those little stitched circles are from the Springtime dies and the sentiment was stamped on to a die from the Flag It die set.

Color Throwdown #405

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! Loved all the cards last week!! This week the colors were chosen by Jodi-Hope you enjoy them!! We're working with green, yellow, and light blue this week.

Here's my card....

It's a little dark- still practicing with my new lighting system and lost a light tonight- after much troubleshooting- still don't know why!! The watercolor panel was die cut with MFT's Wonky Stitched rectangles (love these) and then, I swiped on watercolor in the featured colors. Die cut and stamped PTI's What the Doodle Map, added some "spots" using SU's Gorgeous Grunge. The sentiment was stamped in kraft, yellow, and green using the What the Doodle Map sentiments.

Some inspiration...

Color Throwdown #404

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! Loved all the cards last week!! This week the colors were chosen by Amy Rohl-Hope you enjoy them!!

Oh yes, the beach and that sweet dog is lovin' it!!

Here's my card. I have a new lighting system- still getting used to it- hopefully will get it more perfected soon. I used PTI's Sand Swatch for the background. Then I die cut the What the Doodle Waves dies (both background and intricate layer) and watercolored with three different aqua colors. They were layered a little offset and adhered with foam. Lastly, I added the sentiment with craft ink.

Some inspiration...

ETA: Adding the information on the stamp/die I used. First I die cut a piece of fabric using a Cherry Lynn oval (Mary stocks Cherry Lynn dies in the Serendipity Stamps store) and adhered to a white panel that was die cut with the next smallest oval. Then I used the same two dies, layered, and die cut to create that thin frame. The image Baby Carriage  was stamped with memento tuxedo black onto PTI Select White, colored with copics, fussy cut, and layered on top with foam tape for dimension. Welcome was die cut with red twice and white once- layered slightly offset and again adhered with micro foam dots for dimension. Lastly, I added some more fabric using ribbon and twine.
