Color Throwdown #466

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Lisa!!

We're playing with purple, olive, and rust. Purple again this week :-) Honestly I normally struggle with purple but, I'm learning to fall in love!!

I played with some new Verve- Autumn Leaves and the matching Falling Leaves dies. I added a lot of white and touch of gold. All of the images were heat embossed with gold- the leaves were colored with my zigs and the pumpkins I left white.

For today, I played I went fall...

I played with the the stamp of the month Autumn Chair - it's 50% off for the month of October.

I stamped the image onto PTI select cardstock and colored with copics. Did a little distressing around the edges and splatter of orange shine and brown marks for a totally distressed effect. The Blessings die was cut three times, layered, and popped up with micro foam dots for some dimension.

Here's a little close.

Looking for some awesome inspiration?

Color Throwdown #464

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Amy Rohl!!

We're playing with orange, taupe, and black. Love it!!

Instead of the traditional fall card, I decided to go with a little something different. The background was created with a stencil and modeling paste. Added the wine bottle and glass in the bright orange. MFT goodies used.

A little short/sweet this week since I finally realized I attributed the stamps and dies last week to MFT and there were from Verve.... sorry!!

My husband and I are helping my youngest get a new house- well, it will be fairly new when we are done. Didn't take out any walls but, new flooring, carpeting, lights, kitchen etc. etc. It has been a project but, I think we are finally in the home stretch!!!

Some inspiration...

Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop- #1 October

WOW- can you believe it's October-phew time flies!!

It's time for the Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop! We're changing it up this year- there will be two hops each month as usual and there will be opportunities to win $ to purchase Serendipity Stamps. The design team will be showing you the latest products and offering a chance for you to win some goodies from Serendipity Stamps.

You should have arrived here from Julie's blog but, if you got lost along the way I have a full list below.

For today, I played with a Halloween theme...

I played with the Halloween Pops Cling set. I sponged the background with distress inks and stamped the moon image with memento tuxedo black ink. Next, I masked off the moon and stamped the swirl/stars part of the image randomly a couple of times. The witch  and pot were stamped onto PTI Select white cardstock, colored with copics, and fussy cut out. For the "stirring spoon" I stamped the broom- cut a portion- colored with copics- and inserted into the pot (after cutting a small slit into the pot image). The sentiment is from the same set.

Here's a little close up of that sweet witch.

My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge

Happy, Happy Sunday...

I had a chance to play a little this WE!

AND... I'm still on a roll to ink up some things I have had on the "side"

Sooo... I played with this week's MFT Sketch...

 Fun, right !!

I played with some patterned paper this week...die cut the takeout box with MFT's Chinese Takeout die-namics using Black and White Basics patterned paper, stamped the Pagoda using Good Fortune with versamark ink, and heat embossed in white. The other pattern papers are from MFT's Dots and Striped Sorbet (yellow) and Itsy Bisty Polka Dots for the red. Added a sponged fortune cookie and sentiment- Chinese Take-Out die-namics and Sushi Date stamps.

Hoping you had a great WE!! Mine was a little busy!!

Thanks for stopping by!! Love when you do and appreciate all the kind words!!
