Color Throwdown #394- Happy Birthday!!

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! Loved all the cards last week!! This week the colors were chosen by our "other" Amy- Amy Rohl!! You're going to love them!!

This week we're playing with red, pink, and blue...

I played with the new MFT Pretty Posies stamps and die-namics. I decided to make a shaker card :-) The window was cut with MFT's Peek-a-Boo Wonky Windows (largest size). The inside of the window was sponged with light gray (bottom- covered with beads right now) and the top portion was sponged with blue. Addes some seed beads. I die cut a bunch of the flowers and used second generation stamping for the background and full color for the outlines. Added a little twine :-)

Don't forget to check out our guest this month and featured star stamper....

BE- Tag You're It!!

I seriously love making tags- tiny works of art!! So, when I had chance to play this week, of course, I decided to make one for the Tag You're It Challenge--- my sweet friend Jeanne Jachna created the inspiration...

And here's mine...

I went with the bottom patterned paper topped with solid cardstock- mine is not embossed. Used Verve's Flourished border (Jeanne used a small scallop). My focal point is a beehive/bee in the same area/used a summer critter!! The bee, honeycomb (water-colored with Zigs and die cut with the Verve Honeycomb die- instead of the little flags on Jeanne's tag), and hive were die cut with Verve's The Buzz die set. Sentiment is from Verve's  The Buzz stamps. Tag is from PTI.

Thanks for stopping by!! Love when you do and appreciate all the kind words!!

Color Throwdown # 393- Hello!!

Good Morning!! Happy Hump Day!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! Loved all the cards last week!! I had a blast looking at all the cards using Amy's colors!!

Broni picked the colors this week... we're playing with dark pink, light pink, gray, and white!!

Broni picked the colors this week.. she must have been thinking of a spa day... big tub, soft colors.. relaxing :-)

I pulled out Altenew's peonies again... LORD I love peonies. And they were perfect to blend those two pink colors. I have a couple peonies in my yard- the white one that I bought a few years ago was supposed to have light pink centers... over time the white became more pink with darker pink accents. Interesting how nature takes over.

Good Morning- so glad you stopped by today. The Serendipity Stamps DT are showing off some new goodies in the store and combining it with this month's Serendipity Stamps Challenge-- This month it's all about diecutting!! AND this time around the DT were asked to add an additional challenge... Relax/Enjoy!

You should have arrived here from Miriam's blog but, if you got lost along the way I have a full list below.

I have a couple cards for you today!!

First I used Cherry Lynn dies (Serendipity sells these BTW) -adding a Serendipity Bandana die with patterned paper- I use the die twice so the inner circle was in a contrasting color.  Next I die cut the new Boots die and stamped with the coordinating Boots stamp- colored with copics and mounted with foam for a little dimension. Added a tri-color Howdy die that was popped up with dimensionals. You can purchase the Howdy die by itself or as a set with a sweet cowgirl.

Here's a little close up...

For my next card I used the new It's Five O'Clock Somewhere stamp...

I stamped the image on watercolor cardstock and heat embossed with white. Next I pulled out my Clean Color Brush Markers and did some loose watercoloring. Such a fun card- perfect for starting out the summer months.

Here's a little close up...

ETA: I finished off the inside with one of my fav sentiments and totally forgot to attach--

Added some color on watercolor cardstock but, just in the opposite corners- the sentiment was colored ombre.

We have a very special guest this month - Carol Mayne from Just Me: C Blog! Carol has a clean graphic style packed full of bold beautiful color!  Take a closer peek and see all the glitter sparkle!

Don't forget to leave comments as you hop.... the prize is a $20 gift certificate to one commenter randomly selected from all the blogs.    You can leave comments through 5-22 .. the winner will be announced on Mary's blog on 5-23.

Friends...

Good Friday Evening...I've been a little busy lately...

BUT... I had a chance to make a card the other night. It came together fairly quickly, which is unusual for me. AND I played in three challenges... almost unheard of these days..

Played with Reverse Confetti's (RC)  Love Blooms and coordinating dies.Sentiment is from RC's A Friend Like You (love it, actually loved it to the point where I accidentally ordered 2- leave me a comment and I will use random.org and share the love by sending my extra set to a random commenter on this post- US only)

I think this is the first time I have inked these up... easy two step stamping. The dies cut perfectly and the images match up perfectly too!! How perfect is that :-)

The design uses this months' sketch at Reverse Confetti- SFYTT - the colors are from ColorQ

Good Morning!! Happy Hump Day!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! Loved all the cards last week!! I had a blast looking at all the cards using Amy's colors!!

Bar picked the colors this week....we're playing with cobalt blue, kraft, light gray, and white!!

Ha... how wonderful is this picture-- that's where I need to be relaxing right now :)

So I played with some NBUS (never before used schtuff as Darnell would say) for this card!! I have been shopping over the past few months and my NBUS pile is growing- this girl needs more time to stamp!

All of the images are from MFT's Strike Up the Band along with the coordinating Die-namics. The frame is a Verve die.
