Seasons Greetings--WMSC121

Another weekly post of a card for the Waltzingmouse sketch challenge. This week the sketch was created by Jeanne Jachna- WOOT WOOT!!

I inked up one of the nutcrackers from Waltzingmouse's Nutcracker Sweet and colored with copics. Sentiment is from this set also. Added some music bars {dang, I know this isn't the right phrase, I played the piano for years when I was young but, for the life of me I'm blank} from Waltzingmouse's Musical Backgrounds on the blue panel. Added some ribbon from the Ribbon Carousel and gold halfback pearls from Pizzazz APlenty. Another Christmas card done.

Quick post- my hubs is getting overwhelmed with the trick-or-treaters.... I need to go help!!

PS.. Waltzingmouse {click on bolded text for the link} has sneek peaks going on now for a release this Friday.... wonderful stuff, just sayin'!! All the DT cards have been fabulous... I've looked but, not time to comment... busy week!!

PSS... was in such a hurry to help hubs with the trick-or-treaters I forgot to add Jeanne's WMS sketch.

Thanks for stopping by!! Appreciate all the kind words!!

glad tidings!!

The Christmas card creating is under way at my house!! It's almost here... can you believe it!! Have you started shopping... I haven't bought the first thing... Yikes!! Usually by now, I have a list... have bought some stocking stuffers or something- this year- no list... no stuffers!

I DO have another Christmas card done though... working on the Verve weekly sketch challenges.

Used some papers from MME All is Bright and played with Stampendous Shabby Blue Embossing Enamel... fun!! The snowflakes are from Verve's Glad Tidings and the smaller two were die cut using Verve's Snowflake Tidings die, the largest was "fussy cut". Added a sentiment from Glad Tidings to finish.

Here's the week 4 sketch... just a little note- if you make a card using all the month's sketches and post on SCS- you could be in the running for a big ole' prize. Click on SCS for the information.

Busy Sunday for me... and it's starting to get chilly... we expected weather changes... certainly thankful we aren't farther up the coast!!

Thanks for stopping by!! Hope you had a wonderful weekend!!

Thank You--ISSC39!

It's Friday morn' and time for another I Spy sketch!! Y'all created fabulous cards last week.... keep 'em coming!! This is the sketch challenge where we look for YOUR cards for Inspiration!!

ISSC39 is by Maureen Plut ( at SCS) and is inspired by this card. I totally love this card and should be ashamed to admit that I really CASEd it versus just using the sketch... what can I say!?!?

Mine is a "titch" more spring oriented versus fall though! Used the same PTI Harvest Berries and coordinating dies. I kept myself from using the PTI edger die that Moe used and... I got a little bit carried away with the Harvest Berry Die but, honestly... Love it!! Sentiment is another fav from Verve's Lean On Me stamped on Verve's embossed oval.

Here's the sketch.... lots of possibilites for interpretation {MHO}

So.....have fun and get to Stampin!! Make a card using the sketch - and link it up.... we'd LOVE to see what you create!! Make sure and stop by the blog to see what the other Special Agents created-serious creativity and inspiration!!

Good Wednesday Evening!! Hope the week's going well for you! I have had a chance to do a little stamping and loving it!! This week's Waltzingmouse sketch is from Ms. Clare Buswell... fabulous sketch-- so many possibilites! Some goodies arrived the other day and so I have "something old and something new" for my card this week.

Ha... I think this could be used for a wedding card! Lots of WMS goodness going on!! The little tag uses WMS Opera Tags- stamp set and Spellbinders dies {spellbinder dies unique to this WMS set}... don't you just love the shape and that teeny but, perfectly clear sentiment!! And... those Apple Blossoms from WMS Vintage Garden Flowers... sigh!! Not to mention the background... WMS French Country and the oval image from WMSVintage Circles Small.

Butterflies!!

Happy Sunday!! Hope you've been having a great weekend!! My neice stopped by on her way from Maine to Florida... we knew she was going to come by, just not when. Always fun to visit with family! While my DH and neice are watching TV {I think napping a bit too!} I thought I would get this card posted that I made the other day.

I used the CR84FN65 color challenge of light pink, tan, and cream and since I was using MFT's Inspired by Butterflies I thought I would use this week's MFT sketch. {Click on the bolded words for a direct link to both challenges.}

The butterfly from MFT's Inspired by Butterflies was stamped with soft suede, colored with copics, and cut with MFT's coordinating die-namic. Added some glitter to the wings for sparkle. Used a MFT doily for the center and topped with a circle nestie which was stamped with a sentiment from Inspired by Butterflies, heat embossed and then dry embossed with a SU Victorian folder. Added the sentiment on a MFT fishtail flag die-namic. A Pink Paislee wooden button with cloth brad on top to finish.

The colors...

ISSC38 is by Rosemary D. (rosigrld at SCS) and is inspired by this card.

Die cut the large MFT Doily Die-Namic twice, once in SU RHR and once with MME Tea For Two papers and offset. The flags were made with MFT Fishtail Die-Namics. Sentiment is from Verve's Lean On Me and the heart was die cut with Verve's Wavy Hearts Die using cork. Added some stitching and a couple fabric brads from Basic Grey Paper Cottage that I purchased at Ribbon Carousel.

Waltzingmouse Blog Party!!

It's the 17th of the month and time for....
This month the theme is based on colors... black, orange, and purple!! Now, I love to use black, and it's not uncommon for me to use orange, but, purple is not a "go to" color. So, with this combo and being it is Halloween month and Claire has the best Halloween stamps...

I made a treat bag and card.

The bag is a coffee bag {these are in the WMS store} filled with some color appropriate Hershey's Kisses. The topper ended up not as fancy as my original thoughts, 'cause... I wanted that shrinky dink tag to stand out... yes, that's right a shrinky dink tag... I was like a little kid so excited about that thing!! And, see the bottom of my treat bag.... the Waltzingmouses got in on the act too!!

Close up of the tag with a glitter star, purple tulle, and my shrinky dink tag!! Stamped the sentiment from Hocus Pocus in black stazon onto the shrinky dink material, die cut with an oval nestabilitie, punched a hole for the twine, and heated it up!! See how clear the image is...fun!

Aren't those mouses adorable!! Make me smile!!

The card is a 4.25 x 4. I stitched the outer wisteria wonder paper, added some circle panels, net ribbon from the Ribbon Carousel. The witches pot, sentiment, and fussy cut bats are from WMS Halloween Party.

The treat/coffee bag, shrinky dink material, and stamps are all in the Waltzingmouse Store!!

Thanks for stopping by... Happy Waltzing!!

PS This was one of those photo nightmares... does this every happen to you? I think I took 50 pics, seriously!! Sorry!

Thanks Sew Much!!

This month Julia Stainton  is the MUSE and I am enjoying looking at her fabulous creations!! Here's my card for CASE study this week.... My thought is that you will either like it or "wonder" what I was thinking, LOL!! Pondering this myself but, I had fun making it and that's what it's all about, right?!?

I really, really wanted to CASE Julia's card exactly {which I will do one of these days} but, decided I should do something different. I went with the general layout and sewing theme. Yes, I took a zipper and cut it up, added some colorful ric rac on top and adhered to a SU textile impressions embossed panel. The flower was made with various colors from the ric rac and an old sewing pattern {doesn't show up well in the pic} punched with the SU scallop punch, layered, and added a fabric covered brad in the center. The top scallop flower was stamped with Verve's Thatched Banner PJ and the sentiment is from Waltzingmouse Stamps Sewing Box Hugs.

Julia's card... don't you love it!!

Thanks for stopping by!! Appreciate when you do and love reading all the sweet comments!! Hope your week is starting off well and you have a good one!!

WCMD- A Verve Xmas!!

Hah... I am posting on a Saturday... now, I usually "play" with my stamps on Saturday but, I don't always post!! Started this card and finally had a chance to finish it. Used the Verve sketch for World Card Making Day... good thing I didn't have to finish it that day.. it was a busy one!!

Second Xmas card for the season... I know... I better get busy... have lots more to do.

Stamped the flowers from Verve's Bright Spirits onto XPress It blending cardstock and colored with copics... added some pearls. The banner was made with Verve's Ribbon Banner die. Added a sentiment from Bright Spirits and layered onto a Classy label die that was stamped with the Thatched Banner PJ. A big bow and large bling finished it off.

Here's the sketch...

Details on the Verve WCMD challenge here.  There's still time and I believe the "prize" is a big one!!!

ISSC37

It's Friday morn' and time for another I Spy sketch!! Y'all created fabulous cards last week.... keep 'em coming!! This is the sketch challenge where we look for YOUR cards for Inspiration!!

ISSC37 was inspired by Jean Cross (naturecoastcrafter at SCS) and is based on this card. Neat, huh!! I was inspired to use a fall set based on Jean's card {don't always look but, the upper right corner was intriguing}

The set I used is called Golden Days and was a free gift with purchase of $50.00 in the latest release at The Crafts Meow. Lovely fall set- several fabulous leaf images and sentiments. The background was created with a CB woodgrain EF and layered on vanilla. Squares were die cut with a nestabilitie die and the inner square was sponged with SU crumbcake and soft suede {kind of reminded me of some TH distress colors}. Stamped leaves in SU Riding Hood Red, More Mustard, and Early Espresso-fussy cut and pulled the edges up with my finger to give dimension. A wooden button and twine finished it off!!

Here's the sketch...

So.....have fun and get to Stampin!! Make a card using the sketch you LOVE or missed- and link it up.... we'd LOVE to see what you create!! Make sure and stop by the blog to see what the other Special Agents created-serious creativity and inspiration!!

Noel- WMSC118!!

My first card for the Christmas Season using this week's Waltzingmouse Sketch. The sketch this week is by the very talented Sarah Martina Parker and it's a lovely one!!              .

Have you ever sat down to make a card totally thinking you were going to use a certain stamp etc. and then, when you started things changed??

Don't you just love the look of black on craft... I do!! The tree and flourish on the half circle are from Waltzingmouse Stamps Nutcracker Sweet and the sentiment is from Waltzingmouse Stamps Say It Loud Winter Holiday. The die at the top is the negative of a PTI die. Papers are from MME's All is Bright collection. Colored the little hearts on the tree with a copic and added some bling from Pizzazz APlenty. Seam binding bow {Ribbon Carousel} and twine with bells finished it off. Eeeks.... my first bells of the season!!

Thinking I'll be using this sketch again {well, there are lots of WMS sketches to use again!!}

Thanks for stopping by!! Appreciate when you do and please leave a comment... love all the kind words!!

Just For You!!

Happy Belated World Card Making Day!! I didn't get to stamp yesterday as I was busy baking for a neighborhood get together!! It was a fun evening visiting and meeting some new neighbors.... and good friends that moved from the neighborhood last year came back to visit!!

So anyway, today was MY stamping day!! Any day is good for me! I did do some blog perusing while I was baking, saw some fabulous cards, and read some lovely thoughts. My two cents- Cardmaking is a wonderful obsession that is enjoyed by many around the world equally obsessed as me. Not a day goes by that I peruse the blogs and find so much inspiration/new ideas. I have "met" many fabulous friends and hope to continue to "meet" more!!

Here's my card for The Crafts Meow World Card Making Day Celebration using this month's sketch.

The image is from Celebrating You and the Sentiment is from Lovely Labels 14. Lots of bright going on and I used some purple again...going to have to take my temp, LOL!!

Here's the sketch...

Lovely sketch, isn't it! You have until 9pm tonight to make a card for TCM WCMD and the sketch challenge is open until the end of the month! Now, I have some more stamping to do... see ya!!

Thanks for stopping by!! Appreciate when you do and enjoy all the sweet comments!!

Free For All- ISSC36!

It's Friday morn' and time for another I Spy sketch!! Y'all created fabulous cards last week.... keep 'em coming!! This is the sketch challenge where we look for YOUR cards for Inspiration!! This week we are doing something a little different... YOU get to pick your sketch from the previous sketches!! You can pick one you loved or one you didn't get a chance to play with... YOUR choice!!

I chose sketch 24 as it was the only one I have missed so far... my computer crashed and it took a few days to get fixed.

I know, I know when you see the sketch... you might say I veered a little... well, mabye a lot!! The basic elements are still there though!! Instead of circles all over... I used a couple SU punches and a circle nestie to make my circles and backed it with a pattern from Simple Stories. Popped on top of a white base and rounded both panels at the bottom. Added some stripes of ribbon and my buttons were placed in the lower right instead of all over randomly. Sentiment is from Verve's Hope Blooms and used it to fill the upper right space instead of a banner.

Here's the sketch...

So.....have fun and get to Stampin!! Make a card using the sketch you LOVE or missed- and link it up.... we'd LOVE to see what you create!! Make sure and stop by the blog to see what the other Special Agents created-serious creativity and inspiration!!

Thanks for stopping by!! Appreciate all the sweet comments!

Wishing You...

Peace and Plenty!! What a wonderful sentiment! This card is for this week's WMS sketch challenge. Ms. Kelly designed the sketch this week and it's a good one! I have some Canadian friends that will be celebrating their Thanksgiving this weekend and, this is what I wish for you!

Stamped this image from WMS Peace & Plenty onto XPress It and colored with copics. Changed the square panel to a labels 18, embossed and traced the inside line. The houndstooth pattern is from WMS Heirloom Patterns... think it works fabulously with the image for a cozy holiday feel!! Added the sentiment, buttons, and lavender saddle stitched ribbon.... 'kay I did purple twice on this card.... if you know me or have happened upon a color challenge that I participated in... you would know that "purple" is my nemesis!!

Here's Kelly's sketch...

PS... moved the ribbon lower on the image... it just worked for my card.

Thanks for stopping by!! Appreciate when you stop by and leave a sweet comment!!

Tea Party---CR84FN style!!

Yes, made a card for the bi-weekly CR84FN color challenge {early I might add!}. I have gotten my Sundays mixed up in the past and ended up with only a couple days to get my card done.... well, this week, I did good!! The colors are light blue, yellow, and green.

Used lots of goodies on this one. The sentiment is from Waltzingmouse Stamps Afternoon Tea Sentiments stamped in SU soft suede and heat embossed with clear. The fabulous die is Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles. A few MFT die-namics rolled roses {regular and mini} dipped with glitter and leaves from MFT's Prima Donna Petals and a couple pearls added to the smaller roses. The stems are a Memory Box die- Chloe. Seam binding is from The Ribbon Carousel. Added stitching and layered the first two layers with pop dots from texasjodylynn-confessionsofaribbonaddict!

Here's the color story.
