Color Throwdown #403

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! Loved all the cards last week!! This week the colors were chosen by Broni-Hope you enjoy them!!

Isn't that the most lovely picture!! This week the colors are peach, yellow, light pink, and white!!

Here's my card....

I recently lost my father and I have struggled. When PTI came out with this set- for me it was one of those must haves. The set actually has several different sentiments and three dies so it is versatile, not just for heartbreaking situations :-)

AND, I know Forget Me Knots are actually different colors...

The Forget Me Knots were stamped randomly with the CTD colors and with random saturation on a PTI Select white card stock panel, added a few gold sequins, and the sentiment with the die Forget layered several times for dimension.

Some inspiration...

We're thrilled to have Kim Singdahlsen from Joyful Creations as our new guest designer for the month of July!  Welcome, Kim!

Color Throwdown #402- Mahalo!!

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! Loved all the cards last week!! This week the colors were chosen by Barbara-Hope you enjoy them!!

Isn't that the most lovely picture!! This week the colors are lime green, orange, orchid, and aqua!!

Here's my card....

Feeling in a tropical mood- I played with MFT's Polynesian Paradise- coordinating dies- and Peek a Boo Wonky Window die-namics. The background (behind the wonky window) was watercolored with Gansai Tambi watercolors and the wonky window panel was adhered on top. Die cut that sweet bird- stamped the outline with memento tuxedo black and colored with copics- ditto for the flowers. Die cut a few leaves from Wild Greenery and added a few splatters.

Some inspiration...

Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop and Challenge!!

Good Morning- so glad you stopped by today. The Serendipity Stamps DT are showing off some new goodies in the store and combining it with this month's Serendipity Stamps Challenge-- We're at the halfway point for this month's challenge!! We're still playing with watercolor- how fun! This month's theme is Inspirational (believe, create, dream, imagine)!

At the half way point of each challenge we'll be showing more samples for the latest challenge and have a blog hop- that's today :) The hops are to show you what's new at Serendipity Stamps and to give you a chance to win some goodies of your own!

You should have arrived here from Carol's blog but, if you got lost along the way I have a full list below.

I made a couple cards for today...

For this card I used Serendipity's Whelk, Scallop, and  Small Whelk stamps. The shells were stamped with versamark onto watercolor paper and heat embossed with white. Then, I used watercolors (actually SU for the soft shades) and loosely water colored over the top. The large whelk was stamped and colored on the main panel- the scallop and small whelk were stamped- colored- and cut out- popped on top for a little dimension. The Dream die was cut three times in different colors and layered a little offset.

Here's the inside...

The sentiment is Serendipity's My Life

A little close up so you can see the embossing and watercoloring!!

The next card uses Serendipity's Art cling stamp set.

The jar of brushes was stamped with memento tuxedo black, heat embossed with clear, and then water colored with Gansai Tambi watercolors. The Create die was cut three times, layered, and popped up with microfoam dots for added dimension.

The inside sentiment.... you can click on the picture to get a closer look :)

The image- Serendipity Stamps Sprinkler is the 50% off stamp of the month!!

I'm the last stop on the hop today, but if you got lost along the way- here's the list!!

Make sure you leave comments on all the blogs as you hop because one lucky commenter will be selected as winner of a $20 gift certificate for Serendipity Stamps! You have until Midnight US EST on Sunday July 24 to leave comments - the winner will be posted on Mary's Blog on Monday July 25!

There are lots of new goodies :) in the store, you can find them here

Thanks for stopping by!! Love when you do and appreciate all the kind words!!

Color Throwdown #401

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! Loved all the cards last week!! This week the colors were chosen by Amy Rysavy!! !! Hope you enjoy them!!

Isn't that the most lovely picture!! Now, I have to admit I struggle with purples and burgundy's but... they are gorgeous together. This week the colors are dark pink, burgundy, pale peach, and purple!!

I went a bit CAS with this card... wanted to play with some new SugarPea Designs stamps. They are called Bring On the Cake with the coordinating dies. Love those tilted cake layers!! The sketch is this week's CAS(e) this sketch layout.

Some inspiration...

Color Throwdown # 400- Thank You!!

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! Loved all the cards last week!! This week the colors were chosen by Wanda!! Hope you enjoy them!!

Aren't they fun!! Didn't have any cherries in my stash- that I could remember (I know I'ms not the only one that has collected stamps and can't remember what they have!?) so I went with flowers....

I started out thinking I was going to use the CAS(e) this sketch for this week but, as I went along I didn't want to cover up those sweet flowers with the sentiment. The flowers are Altenew's Painted flowers and the sentiment is from Label Love. The base of the flowers was stamped with SU real red after it was stamped off once (second generation) before the centers were stamped with real red.

Some inspiration...

Serendipity Stamps Challenge!!

Good Morning!! Welcome!! to the start of this months Serendipity Stamps Challenge!! This month we're being asked to use water- watercolor.... easy peasy, right!!

Here's my card....

The image- Serendipity Stamps Sprinkler (which also happens to be the 50% off stamp of the month) was stamped onto watercolor cardstock with versamark, heat embossed with white embossing powder and then, colored with my Zig Clean Color Brush Markers. Isn't that image sweet- when I was growing up the sprinkler was the "bomb" very few community pools and I have to say my daughter's fiance has a "little"- Taylin and she has been playing in the sprinkler this week- loads of fun for her and sweet memories!! Added some loose yellow watercoloring on the background panel, popped everything up with foam for dimension and added some enamel dots!!

A little close up...

Still learning with these markers... I colored the whole portions (i.e. water, shirt, shorts etc.) added water with a brush, this made the water pool, so I sponged off the "extra water" with a paper towel.

The inside...

The sentiment is Serendipity's Keep Your Face... which I also stamped with versamark and heat embossed with white. Then, I used my Zigs to add some loose color over the sentiment.

Looking for some awesome inspiration?
