Color Throwdown #511

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! Hope you're having a great day!! We survived Florence here is Charlotte.... the Hurricane party is over!!

Now... all joking aside, there are many areas along the coast and somewhat inland that are still dealing with the flood waters (the most dangerous part of this hurricane) and many lives were lost. I am thankful that we just had a lot of rain, some trees down and power outages in areas of Charlotte but, still praying for all of those affected that have a "long haul" ahead!! Not only were there lives lost but, many with serious wind and flood damage to their homes and businesses- my heart goes out to them.

On to other business...

It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Amy Rysavy!!

This week we are playing with Pale Pink, Peach, Berry Red,and Leaf Green!

I pulled out some Neat and Tangled stamps for this card. Have been in my stash for a bit but, hadn't had the chance to get them inky!! Don't you just love that sentiment.... :-)

Serendiity Stamps September Blog Hop- #2

It's time for the Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop! We're changing it up this year- there will be two hops each month as usual and there will be opportunities to win $ to purchase Serendipity Stamps. The design team will be showing you the latest products and offering a chance for you to win some goodies from Serendipity Stamps.

You should have arrived here from Marybeth Lopez blog but, if you got lost along the way I have a full list below.

So, this time I played with the Boo Die which is the special this month. First I created a panel using alcohol inks in Halloween colors. Originally, when I cut out all those "Boo's" out, I was going to make a background using the positive of the die (seen below with my witch) but, I ended up saving all of the positive pieces and gluing them to the negative of the alcohol ink panel. Added a little patterned paper and some ribbon.

For this card I used the Witch from the Halloween Pops Cling set. She was stamped and colored with copics. Again I added a little patterned paper and one of the positive Boo dies from the alcohol ink panel.

 Looking for some awesome inspiration?

Other deals....

The Boo Die is the 50% off die of the month.

As well, There is a clearance sale on select dies – 20% off.   They will be listed under the “Specials” tab.

Color Throwdown # 510

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! Hope you're having a great day!!

We're working on it here is Charlotte!! Hurricane mode- LOL!! So, seriously... it may be hard to imagine but, I lived in Charlotte when Hugo came through- we never thought it would come in that far inland. Yes, we won't get the brunt of Florence but, she's BIG and WIDE and  can't make up her mind where she's going...

We are expecting/planning for some rain and potential power outages. Better prepared than not!! This is one time when we are happy we "tent" camp- have equipment to cook etc. and of course, coffee in the am!!

On to other business...

It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Wanda!!

This week we are playing with Red, Orange, Kraft, and Green!

So, this WE I had a chance to start "getting to know" my Altenew watercolors. I did a bit of messy watercoloring!!

Color Throwdown #509

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! Hope you're having a great day!!

It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Yours Truly!!

This week we are playing with Red, Orange, and Blue!! Ran across this pic on pinterest when I was searching for a different color combo and fell in love with these lights!!

When I went to create my card... I was thinking about those lights and thought of Japanese lanterns- pulled out some Waltzingmouse Stamps that I love. Well, honestly I loved a lot of them. Created the background by sponging and add splatters with Atlenew White Ink Spray- I only have a few of these but, love how easy they are to create your splatters.

Once you’ve finished your card or other paper-crafted project, add a direct link to your creation using the Inlinkz tool at the bottom of the Color Throwdown post. You should have arrived here from Marybeth Lopez blog but, if you got lost along the way I have a full list below.

So I played with a few Serendipity goodies!! First I die cut the Snowballs Reverse Die with white card stock and sponged the outer layer in blues. The panel behind was sponged with orange and yellow inks (to show through the open circles/snowballs. Then I added some Halloween ribbon for fun!! For the focal image, I stamped the Pumpkins on a Fence (50% off stamp of the month)- colored with copics and fussy cut. It was layered on top with foam for dimension.
