Color Throwdown #453

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Broni!!

This week we're playing with raspberry, yellow, and green.

So, I went with the tropical theme and pulled out MFT's Sun stencil and covered the background panel. Next I die cut a palm tree in brown and white. The leaves were colored in copics to match my sweet bird. I added some tropical flowers. Both images are from Polynesian Paradise and die cut with the coordinating dies.

Some inspiration...

Color Throwdown #452

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Barbara!!

This week we are playing with green, yellow, red, and turquoise.

I was in a summery mood... thinking of the beach. My sweet images uses dies/stamps from several companies. The images are Neat and Tangled's Beach dies- stamped and die cut with the matching dies. The background panel was created using MFT's cloud stencil, sun, and ovals to ground the images. The sentiment if from Verve's Coffee set.

Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop 7-19

It's time for the Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop! We're changing it up this year- there will be two hops each month as usual and there will be opportunities to win $ to purchase Serendipity Stamps. The design team will be showing you the latest products and offering a chance for you to win some goodies from Serendipity Stamps.

You should have arrived here from Julie's blog but, if you got lost along the way I have a full list below.

For my card today, I stamped the Sun Garden in memento tuxedo black and colored with copics. Added a couple panels on the bottom to "ground" the image and some black twine.

This is a close up to show you how I die cut the Bloom die. First, I die cut the Bloom from the flowered panel and then die cut several times in white. The white die cuts were inset into the flower panel to add dimension- lastly the Bloom die cut with the flower images was layered on top. I did choose to leave some of the white inserts in place rather than the flower images.

Looking for some awesome inspiration?

Color Throwdown #451

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Amy Rysavy!!

This week we're playing with bright pink, light pink, and green.

I played with some Altenew goodies this week. The flowers and leaves are from Garden Treasure. Stamped in two colors of pink and two colors of green- Altenew inks- and then, die cut with the matching dies. These were mounted onto a white panel that was cut slightly smaller than the card base after dropping gold mist on the left side. The sentiment is from Altenew's Floral Shadow and was stamped directly on the panel.

Color Throwdown #450

Good Morning- Happy, Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another set of colors at the Color Throwdown!! This week the colors were chosen by Wanda!!

This week we are playing with royal blue, brick red, and golden yellow.

I played with some MFT and Altenew goodies. I am in love with Altenew's Watercolor stencil (this is my third card using it in just a week!). I die cut a panel using MFT's Blueprints 13 and then placed the stencil on top and sponged with ink. Next I diecut a panel from Blueprints 29 which was layered on top. Several mice were diecut with MFT's BB Strike Up the Band, stamped with the coordinating images, and colored with copics. The sentiment was stamped on a die cut from Blueprints 13.

Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop

You should have arrived here from Julie's blog but, if you got lost along the way I have a full list below.

I only had time to make one card this "go round" busy, busy with the holiday!! I used Serendipity's Flower Rake (which just so happens to be the 50% off stamp of the month)!! The image was stamped three times onto PTI Stampers Select cardstock (this has become my go to for coloring with copics- I like the XPress It cardstock but, it is a little off-white). Once image was colored completely and the other two, I colored the flowers, ribbon, and apples. They were all "fussy" cut and added to the rake with foam for some dimension.

Here's a little close up so you can see some of the detail. I fussy cut the flower on the left but, adhered it on top of the image- pulling the petals up a little- this also adds some dimension to the image.

This pic shows the dimension I created with the white panel, the flower on the right, apples, and bow all popped up.

On the inside I stamped Serendipity's In the Attitude of Silence.
