Last 2 for this month's Verve weekly challenges in the SCS forum.
The first card is week 4 and I chose room 1- focusing on the black and pink. Love these colors and the stamp originally was a digital stamp that Julee offered free for a period of time last year and this year made into a stamp-love it!! Stamped the image on white, colored in the "frills" for lack of a better word, stamped the image again on white and covered in glitter!! That's my BLING for the C4C challenge this week. Added those lovely blooms- they are beautiful but, large- difficult to incorporate on a card -really hard to balance out a card with them!! Added some pearls around the image and the top of the image panel.
TFL!!
Stamps: Verve Love Story, Ink: black, copics, Paper: SU retired dp, black, white Accessories: pearls, SU organza ribbon, Websters pages bloomers, MS glitter
Card Number 2.....
Week 5, Room 2. Used Basic Gray's Ambrosia paper. Ran across this paper at Michaels as I was looking for pretty fall paper. My oldest daughter is getting married next year in the fall and we are going to make her invitations, save the date notices {I'm slow, they didn't do these when I got married years ago!!}, thank yous etc. If any of you have any children close to marrying age, start SAVING NOW!! Wow, it is amazing how things can start to add up!! Had a sheet of paper I picked up last year that was a shiny orange with leaves/trees flocked and did a sample with chocolate base, shiny paper, vellum with tiny swiss dots layered over the top, brown crinkly seam binding tied at the top etc. etc.- looked gorgeous but, still searching for paper options!! Okay, I'm rambling a little here, he he he!! So, I got this sheet of paper for her to check out and on Saturday it was sitting there and I was looking at room 2 with the beautiful fall colors..... well, you can see what happened!!

You've been busy! Love the top card! You made used those large flowers fabulously. Love the sparkly popped up heart! Lovely card.
I don't have the notepad set (I'm after the butterfly in that one) but it's on my hit list. Great ribbon treatment on the card!
Our children's pastor had three girls and they all got married over two years (two of them three months apart!). Thankfully I've got lots of savings time still :)
Hi, Vicky! Your cards are both so pretty...especailly the top one! Wow, I love the row of flowery accents - beautiful! I've only experienced our oldest son getting married and that was costly but sure not as much as a daughter. We were so thankful that they both were so frugal and they had a very nice wedding, but it didn't put anyone in debt. Good luck with the planning!
Just checked out your winning Verve cards - EXCELLENT~ This one is beautiful with the flowers~ Congrats on your Verve win! How exciting for you!
