WMS BLOG PARTAY!!

It's the 17th and that means....
Finally able to post my card for the Waltzingmouse Blog Waltz!! This month is all about THE GREAT OUTDOORS!! And... I had to use one of my new stamps... Half Pint Heroines!! Adore this set... just check out all the sentiments... a person could fall in love with just the sentiments in this set, let alone the images!!

My computer crashed and honestly, it's a project getting everything re-installed. Thinking I might have enough "steam" coming out my ears to keep this balloon in the air, LOL!! Nothing is the same as it was (pre-crash).

I live in Charlotte, NC... about 45 mins. south of Statesville and they have an annual Hot Air balloon festival. The festival isn't until the fall but.... I HAD to ink up this set!! Did a bunch of paper piecing with MME's Ms. Caroline Dolled Up papers, colored one of the girl images with copics and popped her up--popped her locks twice so they would be blowing in the wind!! The clouds are another image from this set... love the whimsical look! Added some stitching and seam binding from the Ribbon Carousel to finish it off.

Even with the steam... I am so thankful to be back up and able to blog....ya' know I was getting a little edgy!!

Thanks for stopping by!! Appreciate all the kind words!!

Have a great week, I'm leaving shortly for a family reunion in Indianapolis (Indy) and it is so dry there... read today that a neighboring lake in Noblesville (boats sitting on cracked dirt) is being diverted to supply water to Indy....another guy painted his yard green as he was tired of looking at brown crunchy stuff... unusual weather!!

Oh, Vickie...
that red bow just sings to me...
it's perfect for this card and just pops right at cha!
Love this!
Papers...
colors...
everything! :)
And I did fall in love with these sentiments...
Claire really spoke a mother's heart with this set...
and you put them to great use! :)
Enjoy your trip!
And yes...just so hot around here...
though we're lucky and are only in the 90's this week...
and more rain in the forecast later in the week...
I hope it arrives! :)
I wish it for everyone in this dry heat!

You are too cute :) I would be steaming as well and just a "tad" okay a lot! cranky. Your card is adorable. Love the bunny in the balloon. Quite the stories about the heat in Indy!!! We finally have some warm temps and it has been wonderful - hot but not too hot. Hate it when it gets over 90F here (30C) as few of us have AC out here on the coast and it gets hard to sleep sometimes. Enjoy the reunion :)

Yikes...no fun to reprogram stuff, but hopefully when the transition is completed, you'll enjoy your new computer! Our grass has the crunchy brown look as well. Have never seen a summer quite like this one! I'm tired of having to constantly water stuff! Love your balloon card with the torn and stitched hills...adorable! My husband goes to Charlotte twice a year to the race track for street rod shows. It's always a guy thing where he goes with a couple of friends. May have to stow away in the truck sometime and give you a call - lol!

Truly brilliant, Vickie. The wood grain background make a fantastic setting for this wonderful "outdoor" scene. Amazing job.

As a true lover of summertime, even I have my limits, and this week after week of 100 degree heat is getting to me. It reminds me of summer in California (and I now live in the midwest) with all the brown lawns, which are now quickly becoming the norm around her.

Crunchy lawn here too but this card is like a breath of fresh air! Beautifully done. Hope you get your computer all set up again soon. It is a pain but it the upside is that it will run quicker.

Oh I know, computer issues are the worse - they really get, when you do just not need it!!! I cross fingers, that you can reinstall everything and at the end it will be even better than before!
Love your card - the ballon image is just gorgeous, I love all the layers of it!
