SSCB #16--- Just Because!!

I LOVE this image!!

Happy Wednesday... not only is it "Hump Day" but, it's the next installment in the Serendipity Stamps Challenge... WOOT WOOT! This week it's all about fabric... that is use fabric on your creation but, not ribbon {felt, burlap, canvas, material - you get the idea!}

Mine's a little clean and simple... BUT I adore this image and I think it is most striking in a CAS card!! The pottery reminds me of the Southwest or all those boutiques/craft showrooms with handmade and hand painted pottery.

I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo black and heat embossed with clear {makes the images/outlines stronger} and colored just a titch with copics. The coloring was purposeful- adding some color but, keeping the images the focus. Stamped the image again and cut out the flower jar and adhered it on top with foam dots.  Then, I spritzed with a black Maya Mist and added a few enamel dots in the upper corner for a little sumthin' sumthin' {they appear to be navy in this photo but, they are black}.

My fabric is the red burlap which I think just makes the vases pop!!

Oh, and I finished off the inside too...

Perfect sentiment, IMHO!!

Hope you find time to join us, and...

The rules are simple... play along using at least one Serendipity Stamps image on your submission and link it below. You don't have to have a blog to play along - you can link your designs to any on line gallery.

A tidbit of information...Mary creates/sells her stamp images/sentiments in wood, cling, and cling cushion. The images are clean and crisp!! Me, I use the cling cushion; crisp image and easy to use with acrylic blocks but, you can purchase in all three options.

This is so pretty Vickie - you're right the red burlap makes a perfect frame for these pottery images. I love how you took a traditional image and made it so trendy with the spritz of ink and the enamel dots. Really fresh!

simply wonderful Vickie! The burlap layer adds such awesome texture! Your card looks like it came from a gift shop in Phoenix made by the Navajos!

Vickie, this is amazing, it looks like it is an actual painting not a stamped image. So beautiful.
